A Pity system? New Mirror Dungeon? How are these things a good thing?
- A Pity system that needs 200 pulls for guaranteed banner ID/EGO and does not carry over.

200 Pulls!? I barely even get 100 pulls as an F2P! Where are we supposed to get 26,000 Lunacy!?

And it doea not carry over? So it only works for a single banner and it becomes useless on the next one?

I mean, if you get the banner 000 and/or EGO in a banner, your accumulative pulls won't count if you try for different one?

Wut.

- Removal of FREE daily Mirror Dungeon run.

What!? How is this an upgrade to the Mirror dungeon!? That free run is like one of the good things in the game!

It doesn't even help that their so-called skip feature is nothing more than something that costs more MDs at the price of LESS rewards!

Hnrgh.

does anyone actually know if the new pity system is based on doing 200 pulls or getting 200 shards worth of ideality. since if it's based on shard gain. doing a ten pull guarantees at least 1 00 identity, so 9 0 id's and 1 00 id is the minimum haul, which is 42 shards minimum. so in theory it'd be roughly 4-5 pulls for a guaranteed 000 identity
there is no info on how much pity currency we will get from pulls. all we know is that the banner pity requires 200 of a new currency obtained from pulling on said banner.
that being said this style of pity system is pretty common in gacha and the usual only nets 1 token per pull so assuming it takes 200 pulls isnt unexpected but we will have to wait and see what actually is like.

I am on japanese os so i can only see the japanese version of announcements, but from the phrasing of it I'm pretty sure it's based on how many times you pulled. Hence I think it's the traditional way, 200 pulls and you get pity exchange.
RedCobra 27. maj 2023 kl. 23:40
and you don't need 200 pull anyway because you have golden box collected from MD every weeks usually stack up over 100 - 150.

again people really really REAALLY forgetting the purpose of E.G.O shard's golden box.

how to get character in limbus company NOT FROM GACHA Pull ONLY. GET THE BOX & OPEN THE BOX.

That's some hardcore grinding you're suggesting.
Well, it will be possible to achieve more boxes per week in the second season. That said they might increase the prices for dispensions and Project Moon simps will start screeching how that's the right thing to do and other gachas have it worse.

61 every week just for 3 hard dungeons isn't what I call hardcore. You literally need 13 dungeons before the update just to get that much before.

Also, people aren't blindly defending things just for the sake of it, they're defending it because the math done shows a profit.

If there isn't a profit in terms of resources gained, people will be extremely angry. The "Project Moon simps" made an enormous fuss when exp rates were nerfed and Luxcavation was dropped. The fuss was so big that PM had to make a big apology, drop a hotfix instead of updating the game at the usual time, quintupled the rewards and give people a bunch of tickets.

PM fans are diehard but they will call out PM if they ♥♥♥♥ up, like with Ruina's original ending.

just look at the amount of complaints that resulted from the chicken event grind, fans are plenty willing to complain when there's something worth complaining about

Oh, I do agree that you get 60 boxes per week by doing a minimum amount of Mirror Dungeons and daylies. I was replying to the guy who said you were getting 100+ per week, which is a grind.

What you're describing might be true for the Korean forums, but this Steam forums is filled with Project Moon dickriding. Remember how PM has cut out EXP ticket Luxcavation's daily bonus without providing anything in return? Remember how the simps on this forum tried to justify it by something like "I-it's not like I need those tickets anyway!" or "Now I don't have a sense of urgency" or other clown arguments? I sure do remember. (Also don't try to defend this decision, you'll be behaving just like those simps).

Not as hard as you might think to get to 100 a week. You get 67.5 boxes a week just doing hard MD. Add 21 from dailies and that brings you up to 88.5. Two more level 2 mirror dungeons will get you to 100. So that means it's actually pretty easy to get a 000 unit every two weeks with the new system, as long as you get battle pass. I would like to see anyone name a gacha where you can choose two top rarity units every month.
Noel 28. maj 2023 kl. 4:37
All I can really say to this thread about the 200 pity is, you guys do understand that this game has a 2.9% probability rate to get a 3* unit, yeah? That's incredibly high. It's not uncommon to get a 3* within 30 or 40 pulls, its actually quite normal. Mileage will vary, but it's typically how it rolls out. It doesn't matter if you can't utilise it, typically, you won't have to and neither will the whales. It is nearly statistically impossible to reach 100 without getting a 3*, much less 200.

Another thing is we already HAVE a pity system in place, but it's more akin to Sparking. Go to Dispense and gather up 400 ego shards, which is not all that hard to do with the mirror dungeons, as well as the battle pass, especially if you cough up a bit of money.

The only thing that's pretty hard to get imo are E.G.O's, due to their 1.3% drop, but once you get them, they don't pop up again, unlike 3* units.

Y'know, people sure love to say how Gacha X or Y is 10 times more stingy or grindy or whatever, and I wouldn't know, I don't bother with the genre, but do we even want this much gacha BS in our PM game? (I suppose some might, but aren't most of us here for the usual crazy PM stories and combat mechanics?)

Doesn't feel like much of a good argument if it's better then game X or Y's approach, if it's still broken and useless, or greedy and a waste of time.

I suppose I'm just hoping PM will keep things reasonable. I mean, they got enough people paying for the Battlepass which in itself is more expensive then Lobotomy and half as expensive a LoR, and that's for only 1/4th of the game (to say nothing of any whales).
Least they could do is keep the grind reasonable (which it may or may not be, we'll see). Or one could hope, atleast...

Ah well. Atleast there's shard box grinding. For now.
This is one of dumbest take I ever read. This is a live service. They need to give a reasons for people to pay or the game is going to die. It's fine if you don't have money. It's proven that gacha games can survive and profite with few whales. And you can still get meta IDs without too much effort and you pretty set to all content after that you can stop grind and wait for the next season for main content. Gotta catch em all is not a mentality that f2p should have for gacha games even if the gacha game allow that.

People that believe that they can pity as f2p are drunk. That is pretty much a feature for whales which I'm personally fine with as it doesn't do any harm to f2p experiences and it improve the whales experiences and that is something that they should do more as right now spending money on pulls isn't that good while md are so damn generous with crates. There are plenty game that add features only to damage f2p experiences so they can drive people to whale instead of just improve the whale experience. While there are instance of this happening in this game, they were addressed properly and it wasn't as bad as people complain about it.

Also people are still fight for that theorically +1 on clash power, huh.

=____= this thread is still ongoing.......

All I will say at this point, is that I think season 1 was pretty successful so I think PM deserve some benefit of the doubt here.

Let's wait until we see how these changes play out, then praise or criticize them ok? Now can we end this thread like for real.

Seeing how people never stop add fuel to this thread. Keep it up make sure we reach 100 comments before season 2 down on us. This made a good thread... especially great jester farming

Well that's an appropiate name.

Though I don't see how something as budget/barebones as this needs the money from Whales when the Battlepass costs a whopping 15 bucks, and we can assume atleast 60% of the players bought it.
(No way a grimdark korean gacha game like this gets many non-PM-fans playing it, most of us are gonna be hardcore PM fans who got some money for the four battlepasses.)

Edit: And we're paying them by the season (or 1/4 part of the game), too. In the end this is gonna cost 60 bucks (or more if you start whaling out). Not even LoR was that pricey. You could buy both their games with that and still have money left. Something to consider. There is no shortage of funds, to say the least.

They made their money. And the whales are providing extra funding on top for any future projects. I guess the extra grind for F2P players is still one major incentive to get a season pass, the main worry is the grind gets too much even for those who bought it.

10 bucks, price is 10 bucks. Which is far cheaper in a gacha game when it comes to every other game within its genre.

And you are paying by the season, within 3-4 months time however. FF14, WoW, and many games with subscriptions pay that much per month. Other Gachas also cost 10 (or 20 if you really want to go for the "get 10 extra levels" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥) bucks per month as Genshin, Honkai Star Rail, PTN, Arknights all have done.

Again, comparatively, this is far from greedy.
