As for the XP yeah, it was pretty crazy trying to level up my fav ID's, I really hope they make the tickets easier to get.
It's 285 crates over the course of the whole BP plus the crates off of the Paid BP.
200 Pull Pity is a failsafe, with its sole purpose being to prevent players from never being able to get the Featured character due to ♥♥♥♥♥♥ RNG. You are not supposed to focus on the Pity to get the character whatsoever, focus is still on shards.

With the upcoming MDs giving out about 13.5-22.5 levels worth of EXP off of completion, that's about 66 crates per week by themselves not counting dailies or weeklies (which isn't accounting for 7 levels for dailies, 2 levels for weeklies). The grand total of crates you could make in a single week assuming you aren't grinding MDs is about 93 crates assuming you paid for the BP.
Every... week... That's about 186 Crates before the next banner pops up, where you need about 200 crates to make enough shards for an ID, which is far more shards than what the last season was giving in terms of rates.
Your feelings don't matter when it comes to probabilities, humans are terrible at imagining probabilities. I got 2 Rosespanners in 20 pulls, does that mean PM tripled the odds? No.
The thing with RNG is that someone is bound to get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ at some point and it turns out RNGesus decided that you will the one to get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by RNG.
(A rare case of luck I suppose. Can't say I'm complaining, gives me like 60+ pulls in inventory on whatever comes after if I really want it.)
But on the flipside of that... XP grinding's a total ♥♥♥♥♥ to do, yeah. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane. That's like 6 runs per ID, and we have a LOT of them that need the levels (atleast 2+ useful ones per Sinner, barring one or two who sadly who have only one good ID).
So they'd better provide a level 35 XP grind or reduce the scaling, or we're having a second apocalyptic Chicken/Spongy grind happen, and no-one wants a repeat of that...
the ONly problem was the proper bull fight, have to reset ONCE because my team was Bad (Gregor was useless there), was a good challenge
and this was with the original Sanity implementation (have been busy to continue, only could dailies)
no other problem till, now, expect aspike at the dungeon so would Up everyone to 30 before entering
