Is buying a Battle Pass retroactive? And what happens after lvl 60?

AKA, I'm say, level 50ish on the battlepass, do I get to claim the premium rewards from passes 1-50 immediately, or are they lost?

And what after 60? I hear there's (better?) rewards after that, but does the season/battle pass cover those? Heck, just what even happens after lvl 60? A reroll or something? Do I have to buy a new battlepass to cover those premium rewards?

Questions that seemed worth asking. After putting like 60 hours into the game, and it'd be money to a good cause somewhat. Probably.
Still think it's a steep price, though. I could buy Lobotomy Corporation for that price, or Library of Ruina for double that, and boy do those last long playtime-wise. Ah well.

you do claim the rewards from previous levels however once you are level 60+ and are already in the nominal box grind you do not get the boosted boxes retroactively so it would be a good idea to decide before you hit that point.

1-60 rewards are given retroactively, any extra rewards past 60 aren't from what I've read of other people.

Past 60, each BP level gives you nominal egoshard crates. 1 for non-premium, and 3 if you bought the premium pass for the season.

Ah, could've been worse then, neat. Guess I'm still a tad on the fence, but might just get it, if just this once. (I assume there will be more battlepasses after the current one expires, with their own rewards.)

Atleast those shards help get what's neccesary at that late stage in the game, Identities and Threads. I guess it keeps the same 10 points = 1 BP Reward (or crates, after lvl 60) formula at that point, past level 60, probably.

Yeah here's the grind thresholds in getting the new units. This doesn't account for Event crates or Shards you already have.
Thresholds: (need 200 crates to get 400 ego shards to redeem a 000)

This can potentially net you 3 Sparks in a season following it, but if you want to sell your soul it is very possible to get 5 sparks in a single season.

Actually, one quick question about the battle pass... The hell does it want as payment? Credit Card? Steam Wallet? Bank Transfer?

I figured I'd click the buy battlepass button to check but it just ended up loading endlessly and had to force-quit it. No browser window, no prompts/window changes on my Steam Client, nothing.

Its steam wallet. You can add funds to it using any payment method that steam accepts.

Neat. Bit weird it decided to soft-crash on me for having no funds at the time of attempting it, though. Maybe they'll fix that, or it simply had problems making a secure payment connection, hm...

I don't feel like there is need to buy VIP pass of season 1. We don't have that many characters / EGO to invest in, you will just get way too much resources and burn out all the fun too early.

Like, i can already get few 2* and one or two 3* characters per 14 days by lazily playing from time to time AND enough threads to uptie them all. Paying for pass means i will sit on extra resources without ways to spend them, it's like activating cheat code 'god mod'.

As others already stated, just play till lvl 60 pass, then consider buying VIP. After 28-ish days of playing i only reached lvl 50 or so. Majority of players abandon games way before month of acumulated play time.

Well, can't unspend the money now, heh... But at this rate I was already around BP level 45-50 or so, so I grinded most stuff anyway. There wasn't anything to do at this stage but fill the dailies. Doing mirror dungeons was one way to kill time during breaks, anyway.

Doesn't feel like the game's generous enough to give a 3-tier character every 2 weeks though, the random lottery be stingy as hell. Shards seem to be the best bet, sadly...

But could've been worse, already spent like 70ish hours on this, so why not. If all else fails it's not the worst way to waste money.

I'll be honest, comparing it to something like marvel snap (where you spend like, 10 euros a MONTH for a pass) spending 10 euros for 3 months feels like a steal.
