The one who Shall Grip use
Title. Got the boi, but can't figure out how to properly use him and where. Having difficulty seing him useful anywhere outside the KFC dungeon/story, as the longer the fight goes the more sanity you usually have. So any ideas/strategies for Sinclair would be appreciated.

If you activate his passive skill (2 Wrath owned) he'll start losing more sanity that he gains, plus you can go for an unopposed attacks, it requires management so spamming winrate button will make him corrode and kill your party, but both his 2nd and 3rd skill are super busted.

He is wonky to use but I find him fun somehow. It's something fresh compared to the rest cookie cutters we have. Not something I'd bring for the brain dead fast md clear but it can be used with some careful planning. And his clashing potential is great for some harder content.

Kay, so I just put him in a jar before canto 4/railway 2.

to put things simply, his S2 can't be beaten by anything below 13 power, and his S3 takes 19 power to stop. that is assuming worst possible luck btw so even at +45 sanity he's one of the best clash winners in the game. managing his SP can be a bit of a balancing act because it's going to be dropping as long as his passive is running and not too many things are dying, but he's monstrously strong
edit: I ran the math and his S3 at max roll is almost as strong as a 6+ suppression, with 90 power from the 30/30/30 compared to 95 from a full power suppression with the fragile and rupture factored in (Sinc does have damage bonuses, but since they're not as consistent as the statuses Suppression applies I didn't include them)

"the longer the fight goes the more sanity you usually have" not really his skills deplete more sanity than he gains via winning clashes or defeating enemies. His passive also helps with that too.

I use him for MD now. I thought it'd be kinda risky if he corrodes, but no, he stays around -15 or -20 sanity for the most part and shreds through enemies faster than R Heath almost.

At best he is a killing machine. At second worst his skill 2 is 12 minimum clash and skill 3 is 18 minimum clash. The worst is he corroding and attacking the allies. You don't need to think too hard about it. You don't need to purposely push him to negative sanity to make him work unless you want to end the fight fast. Don't understimate the value of guard if you don't want him to corrode. His base value are just too high to make him bad in any circustance.

Ye, figured it out after he one shoted a K-corp goon with his 3rd. Thankfully corruption meltdown resets the sanity meter. Interesting boi, though somehow he managed to deal less damage than my Chief Gregor in the KFC dungeon XD.

I wouldn't use a dungeon as good metric for character's performance as they tend to be inconsistent(the extra action coin can make huge difference) and they favor consistent high speed character as they attack more than slow characters. Th chicken dungeon also favor slash damage and N Corp Sinclair still have one of worst skill 1 while Chief Gregor skill 1 is more consistent as high sanity ID. The strongest point of n corp sinclair is the consistent clash power but the damage very volatile,

I guess it doesn't hurt to pair him with any form of Faust and have her restore some SP so he doesn't corrode (alongside the odd SP-Restoring Guard), can't think of much else though. Those skill 2 and 3's do be hard-hitters and strong clashes.

---

I wonder, though...

1) Can a Sinner choose to clash with a Corroded Sinner (IE block the impending giant wheel of red death). Or at the very least use a Block skill on a enemy and have it auto-activate on Sinclair? (Probably, I'm guessing.)

2) Would un-equipping E.G.O prevent Corrosion from occuring? (Heck, how does that work anyway. Does it just pick E.G.O, even if you haven't even unlocked/equipped it yet? Or what would even happen if none are equipped...?)

If you don't have an EGO that can go in Corrosion, your character will simply panic.

1) You can't clash. Don't know about Defense Skills.

2) Yes. They Panic instead.

Kay. Might as well test him out in the railway if it's still up.

Hm, that's a new one. If it's anything like the enemy's Panic, it's a huge debuff to deal with. Sounds like it's more useful to just hit something (hopefully a enemy), restore SP, and start the madness anew again.

Very useful to know. Will have to try Guard if he goes berserk again. It should auto-activate on the first incoming attack if it isn't assigned to clash with anything, even attacks from allies. Hopefully.

Would've been nice if we were able to intercept Corroded SInner's attacks with our own though attacks/guard skills though, if purely so he doesn't squish some poor blunt-susceptible ally to death immediately in his RNG-filled rage fits...
