Thoughts About The Refraction Railway?
Trying to finish this ASAP, but I'm now stuck at the 7th Stage. Reminds of that Soldier HP Bullet Heals. This triggers my PTSD. :csd3sick:

Moving on, what's your opinion on this feature? Sharing will be much appreciated!

I mean the amount of ppl whining about "muh enemies too tough can't get the pretty banner under 120 turns on my first try, I don't want to look at resistances and memorize stuff". So I hope that someone beating this with basic Id's close or below 120 turns will make ppl realize it's their own skill issue.

Making everyone go through each fight 2 or more times just to figure out what they need to bring in isn't a skill issue. It's arbitrarily obtuse gameplay. There's nothing to figure out or theorycraft. You just throw teams at it to purposefully die just to see what their weaknesses are, then make the team that capitalizes on it and go unga bunga.

I love the new content. Trial and error it, ended with 140 turns on my first run, and went to get my sweet sleep. Woke up to see a lot of people hating on it lol.

Honest comments: I feel like the buffed stats aren't that bad. It was a bit overwhelmed at first but I still manage to clear it under 10 turns easily on the first half of the content.

HP buff is actually a good counter against identities with guns. I'm glad I couldn't just use R corp Heath to cheese through every stations like I did daily in the MD.

I read through replies in the thread and it's possible that some didn't prioritize their decisions really well in some fights. Regenerating Inquisitors fight is okay if you're getting patient and whack them down one by one. It's what you'd normally do to its normal version in other content as well, since raising all of their rage buff at the same time is not a good idea. HP regen is just an icing on the cake.

Some heavy attacks are meant for you to utilize the guarding mechanics. They already fixed them and it works like a charm. You can just put a character resisting the hard attack on guard and pull the aggro on them. I especially enjoy using N corp Meursault here and have him tank attacks here and there and let other identities focus on the damage dealing.

K corp guards though. I probably hate this one the most. It's not quite possible to bring the ones that weak to slash down in one turn I believe. Is the way to go only just to wait out on the 3 turn regen and fight them properly after that?

I don't know what to feel about the hidden resistance/weakness. I'll admit it's fun on the first run going blind and try various things on the enemy, but also think it'd be more fair to just provide us information on the enemies.

Since it doesn't punish us in anyway on giving up on the fight. You can just get in, auto attacking to see weakness and get out to build a new team. But why would we have to do that when it's better to just improve our QoL by just provide the information.

The last station fight is nice. A good approach to abno fights. I want to see more of something like this in the future.

Overall it's a fun content for me. Things to fix here and there but not as bad as someone might paint it out to be, at least for me.

Edit: I think LoR fights are a lot more tedious than this. It's what I didn't like about LoR. I legit don't get how someone seemed to love LoR gameplay so much but then be complaining the new content is tedious.

Seeing how the buddha statue is a WAW so is ebony, they'll either make higher risk label abnos completely braindead or gimmicky.

Yeah, it's a bit tedious that the information is always hidden, though considering that there are only 3 new abnos, everyone hed plenty of time to find out how to do with Ichtyd or Dog. Or how the N-word inquisitors work, which follow the same mechanic in MD/Story dungeon, but anway. I am talking more about ppl who get frustrated bc they can't steamroll the thing in 120 turns in their 1-2 tries. I can't figure out their problem.

In Lor some waw's were kind of meh tbh. Snow white apple was countered by anything with enough range, for example. Or the big birb. Or the queen bee. The biggest pain in the ass among waw was queen of hatred.

I got a 117, and all I can say about the railway now is that I look forward to kicking the hell out of the Snake Inquisitor every week in MD.

I enjoyed it a lot. Let me use all my tools to optimize my turn usage. I think the only "bad" fight in the whole thing was the Slithering Inquisitor. The boy is simply too tanky with no interesting mechanics or difficult skills to work with. He's just a buffer to artificially inflate your turn count.
Hope for more challenging content in the future!

Ended with exactly 120 turn count on my first blind go through, probably retried each stage twice just to optimise. For people complaining about info being obfuscated, you can just redo the fight afterwards and you'll know their weaknesses.

I enjoyed it a lot (except node 10 ahahaha, a bit too rough) and it gives me hope for future challenging content.

i dont mind the buffed stats just show meeeee their resistances. i loved this about LOR going in reading their passives and then theory craft on teams to smash them to bits.

Either that or people will cry about the game is pay to win. Because if you have a R Heathcliff team (ehem, banner...), he completely demolishes Railway.

sorry dude i have R heathcliff and im not demolishing anything here

I too now have a tier 3 R heathcliff, this stage is broken at the end. The third monster just has regen skills. Also guard doesn't seem to be working and forces low HP characters to attack and then get immediately killed by the monster guards.

Stuck on Railway 8. Team legit just can't do anything against them. Don't have 000 Heathcliff and a few others but it feels like I can't get any damage in because they heal what I damage I can actually do.

at this point you probably have a lot of stockpiled resources. just blow all of them on ego that guarantee a win in clashes (preferably aoe egos) and especially ensure that they never, ever hit you with an attack that heals them. it's pretty much a battle of attrition until you kill them. at least thats how i found it to go
Aria Kawa Apr 6, 2023 @ 9:13pm
I've finished it two times, second one in 117 turns on mobile. The hardest fight is probably the inquisitors because you need way too much patience for that crap, I've also had issues to beat the dog. The last fight agaisnt the statue is absolutely GREAT.

The best EGO to max thread is Ebony Stem from Outis, I thought this skill was overpriced at first, but on battles with multiple enemies or parts it is INSANELY good. Gregor can also carry you hard spamming lemegeton.

All in all, I think they could consider reducing the hp of some bosses to 90% or 85% of their original values to make things faster, but honestly, the rewards that you get are insane. This mode forces you to get good at the game and resist the itch to press auto battle.

You don't need a full rooster of 000. The one thing that I say that helped me a lot was max threading some EGOs since they were responsible for saving my ass countless times.
