Question would be - why? Samjo came across as slavishly devoted to K. Corp and Dongrang, competent (that final derp aside), willing to step in and take the heat from Dongrang's boss as long as he could until said boss said to put the doctor on the phone or they're both getting thrown at the nearest Abnormality..
What motive would Dongrang have to get rid of what seemed like an ideal employee?
Samjo was blindly loyal to the company to a fault. Recall his reactions to Shrenne’s complaints about K Corp being nothing more than “but the benefits.” Dongbaek’s accusations tested samjo’s loyalty to the company and he proclaimed it akin to that of a trust fall.
He was a corporate shill that valued the company over his own well-being despite.
"Oh dear, what a bother. Samjo never knew about unrefined tears"
He wasn't aware of the true nature of how the K Corp singularity works. We've been fed misinformation about it being nanobots when it turns out the nanobots were there to gaslight people in order for the juice to take effect.
Dongrang even had to explain why the other ampule just started growing bugs out. We've seen that the truly purest version of the K Corp serum heals to the point where you're restored to whatever "the original form of humanity" is so it doesn't even line up with the melting and the bug variant of the Decay Ampules.
For all intents and purposes, Samjo is unaware.

edit: also its a shame, most of the characters who die for shock value are likeable characters (wich im sure is the reason they are killed) that could be really cool to meet again during an event.
Based on the AI of Lobotomy, this is par for the course. Our employees have single digit IQs and will walk straight into the snail speed angler fish or the very suspicious flower on the ground.
I don't think L Corp even has standards for hiring people.
Also its a golden apple, something that comes up in greek myths where the gods want to get it for themselves.
Not to say that yuri's death didn't feel absurd but there is a reason.
Edit: I got ninjaed :/
