W Corp Ryoshu and Hong Lu : Charge up the bubble review
So the two have come out and we have a heavy hitter and a tank.

Lets start the main gimmick of the two, Charge Barrier.
For one thing the effect looks quite nice, was unsure if we ere getting any effects but its good. The fact that it allows the user to gain at 1 to 1 ratio is pretty good, though the lack of it is troubling. Hong Lu needs to get to 10+ before he can really get it and Ryoshu needs her 15+ on her S3 to get it, though both abilities will grant over 5 charge if the user does have the bubble burst. Giving 1/3 shield normally means it can pop on failed clashes against non ineff attacks or weak mobs, while 1/5 for warp crew does matter somewhat on keeping the bubble. All in all its good for quick charge atleast for gaining charge not blocking damage as much.

Hong Lu-
hes a very odd tank, supporting a decent speed of 4-6 with his passive granting him a good amount of haste once he gets going.
His S1 is okay going what you think of a S1 granting just charge though at T3 hes really wants to get to 10+ charge which gaining 4 with a dropoff to 3 next turn makes it rough. Still the clash value is good, though tank offensive vaule. (The T4 granting 1 extra charge is good but thats about it)
His S2 is his bread and butter, but suffers a tough issue, getting the 10+ charge for 2 barrier just means until then, your option is using his S3 to gain barrier, which you would rather safe it for getting to 10+. Was shocked that the +2 clash power for having the bubble making it quite a good clash when you hit 10+. Still this skill is not bad but.... (His T4 for this skill changes this skill into a straight gain barrier next turn if you win fully the clash, making the last coin flip a gain 1 barrier for each lot of 5 charge, allow a turn 2 barrier, helping him reach his 10+ faster.)
lastly his S3, which to me is quite good gets all his charge at 10+ and pretty splits it and gives it too two IDs with low health the turn after. The fact that the last coin also gives himself charge barrier, means you could end up almost refueling him, if hes been tanking for you and also means he might keep his passive going on, as he only has speed to tank with. Also to add to the cake he puts a bit of rupture, which is always nice. Still its getting him to the sweet 10+ is blasting as he eats it all up no matter how high you get and unlike someone like Boatwork Sinclair leading into a heavy beatdown, you got to hope that the right unit gets their charge.
His normal passive is straight up good, gaining haste for having charge is good. No max or min up, just straight haste with only 3 pride owned. (and the icing is T4 gives more!)
His support passive is a interesting one giving haste to the lowest speed for them next turn. This means if hes supporting a charge team, this is going to bounce around alot, cause unless you using W Faust or W Mes most of them have a 3 to 6. Still you may end up wanting him as a support to help out R Mes with speed boost and a speed based team.
Lets talk EGO. No surprise he can fuel his W Corp based DS, which no only helps his charge gain, but also grants him another tank like passive in being hard to kill. As the EGO doesn't really fight with much EGO resources its not bad
All in all he suffers Hong Lu suffers the issues of being a tank with only barrier to help him tank and you would rather have that charge to S3 to not only give your other charge IDs, easy charge, but keep his bubbles up for his S2 bonus. No aggro or clash lose, means if he starts failing the clashes, its hard for him to continue tanking. His T4 is really needed to pull him up to a degree that if your lucky you can S3 +10 charge on turn 3.

Ryoshu-
Now for a damage dealer, shes got it all, lots of coins, the ability to hit fragile against slashing in the middle of coin flips, decent charge gain and a shoot the moon S3.
Her S1 is there for damage, gaining a shocking 10% up if at 10+ charge, with the attack itself gaining charge on coin 1 and 2. The coin is the issue as the roll is a 3-9 which sometimes can end up in losing the first coin, meaning only 2 charge gained. Still a three coin S1 needs a downside and this really isn't a bad one. (her T4 gaining an extra 10 at 15+ will only happen if you are unlucky at roll S3 in a slot.)
Her S2 is a good one gaining 6 charge and if you reach 10+, which you could do if you landed a S1 last turn, sets up a coin 1 slash fragile into the other 2 coins, which could end up getting the kill for a haste boost. The kill for the haste boost can be rough and really asks you heads flip on this skill as 5 coin power is nuts for a S2 let alone increases it by 1 for having 10+. Its a really good skill and only gets better with higher charge (which also continues with T4 not only gaining more coin power at 15+, but inflicting more slash Fragile and dealing more damage and gaining 3 haste rather than 1, should a high jump for a S2 T4)
Now for her rip space, I mean S3
It follows the same vipe that her damage counterpart W Don shares. Get high charge and spend it to kill. Now its not as crazy as Dons, having 1 less coin power and less total coins, but what it makes up for is that it can still rolls its highs not at its 15+ need of charge for a small price of health. This makes it easier to trigger the coin power gain, while making the risk of damage. Each coin flip granting a tiny bit extra damage at the end is nice, but the kill needing 15+ trigger to refund you with a 5 charge bubble and one for a RANDOM ally (random is very uncommon). Getting a kill can be the issue of this skill as sometimes the 3rd or 2nd coin takes the kill instead due to how good the coin power is. Still its made to finish up or brake a part, which i believe can do quite well.
(The T4 is crazy good as it transforms the +3 coin power until +5 and doubles the head end damage, with icing of 7 charge barrier, so you can pretty much rock up another one with the damage self mode next turn. This makes it crazy good damage wise and could outclass Don as on full heads they both do the same coin power, while Ryoshu can spam this a bit more without an EGO boost.)
Her normal passive is rough gaining 2 charge on kill. On kill being the rough part as it does limit what fight makes this okay and which makes it useless. (gain 1 extra does not make this passive any better)
Her support is the also charge gain on kill, but with the lowest max health, normally meaning your DPS took a hit or you give it to a tank which might have trouble getting the killing blow. (same as above)
EGO wise, she has no Charge EGO in writing this Post but can help out red eyes, which is not bad, but her speed is 3-6 and she doesn't need more setup, means not much out of these as you would rather S3 to be treated as her killing "EGO"
All in all she does really good damage and might even take Dons space if she is T4'd.

So, all in all, Hong Lu is a tank that would much rather of been a mid range ID, that supports another charge unit, while Ryoshu really wants kills but may end up taking them before getting to the coin. (Both these IDs gain quite a lot for T4ing to the point with Hong Lu really wanting it to set up faster and Ryoshu, becoming better Don without telepole once she sets up)

Extra Note: Hong Lu might seem a tad rushed on the T3 vs T4 reveiw side as I pretty much T4 him after seeing how bad he was doing getting set up and forgot to write down what his upgrades were.

i did 69 pulls and got literally nothing from it expect the new hong lu id. love this game

I myself got Hong Lu and first pull and threaded for Ryoshu I had saved up.
It can be rough the pull lottery but at least you get thread.

i literally didnt get A SINGLE 00 RYOSHU so i got no thread for her at all

Who needs pulls when you have MD2H which gives 75 boxes per week if completed. Add all the dailies on top, and you can 50/50 000 id every two weeks.
