How is the powercreep?
I stopped playing back when chapter 4 just got released due to life stuff and decided to come back for the new event.

One worry I had back in the day was about powercreep.

I'm very much out of the loop on meta characters, new uptie levels, IDs and egos so I was wondering if someone could tell how bad or well PM handled power creep so far.

Powercreep, atleast from my perspective isnt too bad, the grind for 30-35 is a LITTLE agregious in my opinion and reminds me a tad of bdo (takes around as much exp to go from 20-30 as it does to go from 30-35) but other than that its pretty balanced. bleed ID's are a bit bad in canto 4, but other than that its fine. uptied 4 isnt necessary like uptie 3 is, so its just their to give your fav ids a bit more OOMPH. except r ish, r ish 4 makes her actually s tier.

Old meta characters still meta, except with T4 R ish is now good, and some people like K Corp Hong Lu, because he is immortal (it's useless tho) so you don't miss on much

Outside of 1 exceptionally powerful character that was release a couple of months ago there has been very little, most new 3 star IDs have been more about supporting different archetypes/giving better IDs for characters who aren't as meta-viable. Some of the best characters in the game are still ones from launch so I wouldn't worry about super-aggressive power creep in terms of IDs.

As for uptie levels, getting uptie 3 is very important and can be done fairly early. uptie 4 is significantly more costly but generally is a very small, incremental improvement for strong units and a decent buff for weak units, but is quite expensive to do.

W Corp Don, Rabbit Heathcliff and OWSG Sinclair still rule the roost of damage dealers

Of the new IDs since season 2 launched Spicebush Yi Sang and Liu Ishmael really stand out as the best IDs in the new season imo

Some launch IDs like BL Yi Sang and Reindeer Ishmael got major buffs with the Uptie 4 release making them viable picks for flavor

Eeeeeehhhh, I hate to contradict them here but uptie 4 has a big impacts team strategies, and playing around most debuffs and buffs. It is true, in terms of how functional a character is by themselves, unless they literally just didn't function well before you aren't going to see a huge difference. However a lot of uptie 4 buffs are things like extra counts of rupture, more nails, and things like that. So when it comes to power creep provided by them you could consider it more in the context of team comps. Since for example someone N-Faust can provide 2 fanastic and an extra set of nails with her Tier 2, which can significantly increase your chances of winning clashes and maintaining nails counts on targets you need them on.

But yeah if you're the average manager and not necessarily anal about team comps working perfectly you probably won't notice the buffs too much. Even the tanks getting aggro mechanics is pretty ignoreable unless you're going out of your way to use one.

Power creep has had a lid kept on it pretty firmly, with the T4 upgrades feel balanced around the idea that the top tier units should grow sideways and only giving power boosts to weaker units and skills, which means that a Meta team from chapter 4's launch would still be able to carry its weight pretty handily.
