How does Sin Resource gain work?

Just realized I wasn't 100% certain on how sin resource gains work, even when I've finished all current content. Do you gain resources upon a successful attack or simply gain all the resources when combat starts/ends? I'm currently under the impression it's the former but not certain. What about colored defense skills, do you still get their resource even if they don't get used or only when they get used?

Was it mentioned back in the prologue? Probably forgot if so lol

You get it if you get to USE the skill AT ALL. So yeah, if you clash and lose, you still get one; If you use counter, and get a hit on enemy, you get one, and so on. The only thing I'm not sure on, is if you get bonus resource from evading different enemies, but that's not a big deal anyway.

Yeah, I'm not sure where the context of 'only successful attacks gain ego resource' came from, but to also insure on it, you gain them from the skill 'activating' at all, regardless if it lands or wins or loses a clash.

I think they mentioned something about the evade ego resource gain in the notifs, would have to check again though.

you gain resource everytime using any skill.

win clash or not still gain resource.

When i started i noticed if i lost a clash i wouldn't get that resource, But to OP currently win or loose you get the sin. Only getting staggered before the skill can be used prevents you getting anything.
