What is focused encounter?
Title. In the last twitter post about MD2 hard, PM gave ego gifts rates for winning encounters, and here they mentioned "normal", "focused" and "risky" encounter. I guess normal and risky is "sword" and "two swords" nodes, but what about focused? Is it abnormality fights?

They just clarified that that's the new name for what were "Abnormality Encounters"

Just another reason to avoid those, then. Because assuming they haven't fixed it, you'll likely end up being forced to pick that stupid white flower (no other options) and your run takes forever/becomes unbeatable.

They're adding an option to refuse EGO Gifts in the next patch.

Yeah, honestly that's a pretty good tradeoff. Fight an abnormality for a EGO Gift for remaining floors. And now you can choose if you want it or not.

Oh. thank God, that was a near-run killer.

Granted, it's hard to find a E.G.O Gift that's actually bad for you (at worst they tend to have no effect), but this is a welcome surprise. And it helps futureproof things too, if more... hazardous, but potent E.G.O Gifts make an appearance.

Am I the only one who likes White Gypsum? I find it hilarious when they explode mid-clash from bleed damage

it's powerful, but losing Stagger as a mechanic just doesn't feel worth it, especially when the bleed is rarely going to provide more damage than the bonus from stagger vulnerabilities
It basically exists to mitigate the LoR thing where you'd miss out on all of your stacked up bleed damage because a stagger prevents the opponent from attacking and bleed decays at the end of turn, but that isn't how Bleed works in Limbus so it's just kinda bad
