Not with how the Hard Mode MD2 is planned to be designed. With Floor 5 buffs being moved to Floor 2, Clash IDs will be significantly weaker as they will have to cross a massive hurdle to actually hurt the enemy. Most of the 2 star IDs including KK Hong Lu get dumpstered by those very same buffs in Floor 5 without EGOs in mind.
TT can even be vulnerable to it since Shank can be outclashed in Floor 5 in a not-so-uncommon frequency.
Thanks to that, combined with K Hong Lu being literally unkillable, he can bring value to the team by soaking up massive amounts of damage and coming back stronger with each iteration by sneaking in unopposed attacks.
So I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out it was bugged. Nerfed otherwise, probably not.
I highly doubt that as PM has been adamant to not censor this game to allow for China to sell this game. CCP would DESPISE the content shown in this game and the censorship would be devastating (R Corp HeathCliff would have White everywhere)
It's looking like it:
MD2 Hard will have Floor 5 buffs moved to Floor 2, which might ramp up more in the later floors. This means you can't rely on EGO spamming that much since you won't have nearly as many resources going into Floor 2 as you would Floor 5. Clash IDs will get significantly hampered by the buffs and will start losing health rapidly over time, meaning they will eventually die due to attrition rather than a single straight fight.
What this means is that Healing and Tanking hits will end up seeing much more value, as taking hits can allow you to hold turns until your units have enough attacks to overwhelm the enemy with unopposed skills over clashed ones. Unopposed skills can stagger the enemy, which stops the enemy skill entirely.
With how K Hong Lu is designed, he's designed almost exclusively for Hard mode given how much sustain he has and how many attacks he can easily sneak in unopposed.
Also to note is that DongRang and Dongbaek may be easier numbers wise compared to Kromer, they have much more complicated mechanics then Kromer by a long shot. Given we are still early in the main story, I can already see PM cooking some dangerous puzzle mechanics that utterly cancel win rate completely (Railway Abnormalities already prove that with the WAW entity)
