The game is great, but severely lacking in character gatcha.

There have been gatcha games in the past that have done a core center cast to gatcha from with variants of their outfit or story, they have never lasted long. Youjo Senki, Madoka, some anime title I'm forgetting, etc. I believe if this gatcha game is to succeed for longer than a year the game will need to explore some semblance of waifu-ism, there's only so many times people can enjoy generic Korean manhwa dudes and dudettes, no offense to people just getting into the genre. The gameplay itself is great though, a lot more combat focused, which keeps me playing. There's a lot of difficulty barriers, but nothing you can't grind your way past. There's a lot of benefits to earn from doing so, more rewards that are impactful and change the way you play. It's just a question of, do I care to, atm. Also man, did this game have enough loading screens? Jeez.

Hell with LoR and all the variants to those people you can do with the new IP you have so much potential to gatcha for style points moreso than checking out a guy's new coat. But I digress, here's hoping PM makes the next event gatcha something to gush about.

I am kinda wondering how they'll 'gotcha' this out with only 12 characters to base things off + Egos. My worry is that they might just power creep the hell out of things to sell stuff or even convince as that is far more acceptable in Korea.

This game is not about waifu to begin with. There is no love or romance at all, everyone dies here, changes body parts into robotic or monstrocious, has brain problems, often just straight kills everyone on sight. Also 12 characters kind-a represent sephiras from previous games, especially if you look at their behaviour, habits or view of world. There is no place for erotic content of any sort, nor for half-naked ladies in shiny perverted costumes.

Stop asking unique games to turn into generic pile of guano. And something tells me you do not have actuall proofs for your point about game not lasting long if nothing changes. Have you done statistics on other games? Then show us! Or this is just an advice from couch general?

Main genre of this game is NOVELL, with elements of RPG and elements of Gacha. This is not Gacha genre to begin with. You do not need to use gacha rolls at all to beat game or play mirror dungeons. Look like you have no idea about Project Moon and playerbase of this wonderful game.

That's an inevitable fact even if there would be a ton of characters to select from. The game is lacking the content needed for characters to truly be maxed out atm anyway, along with missing E.G.Os for higher strength. Granted balancing the game around a limited pool is easier, it's often more enjoyable for the game to be unbalanced, typically in the player's favor at least till the new content comes for single player games. Balanced games in an RPG sense just become a style of tic-tac-toe and no one finds that fun.

As much as i despise the way the guy described and replied in such crusted mannerisms, he has a point. A lot of big gacha titles ponder to fanservice one way or the other, the difference is how extreme they're willing to go with it.

That's for the developer to decide. Koreans have a different standard than the Japanese when it comes to ecchiness, so I guess we'll have to see. A suit and tie on everyone however, is boring no matter which way you slice it when it's on everyone.
