>nobody can tell
nightmare
as her theme is portraits of hell, I thought she'd relate the best to Nothing There's base/breached forms, but considering how some abnormalities get multiple people, I could see Gregor and Ryoshu embodying the more human and more monstruous form each
she can see the artistry in its form (in my interpretation)
1) Extracted E.G.O. can be used pretty much by anyone, as can be both in Lobotomy Corp and Library of Ruina. One of the notable examples for that, in my opinion, is 4th Match Flame.
2) Mimicry's main strength, like with Nothing There, is adaptablity, so it won't be a stretch to say it can be compatible with any of the sinners, both physically and mentally.
Sure, Fourth Match Flame is available on multiple Sinners, but it's Sinners like Rodion who have the similarity for Emotional Attachment to work.
Well.
-Except it doesn't. Qliphoth deterrence doesn't save agents from E.G.O. corrosion, as was stated in Wonderlab. Librarians are very susceptible to Abnormality influence, as can be seen in E.G.O. pages, yet any of them can use it. Also, Kali?
- One of the sinners isn't "resonant" with 4th Match, no matter how you look at it. Abandonment? Why can Yi Sang and Ryoshu use it then? Nihilism? Why Rodya, then? Yes, we don't know about Yi Sang and Ryoshu yet, but I highly doubt that abandonment is a trauma for both of them.
- The second point still stands, Mimicry IS adaptable.
- Finally, PM can simply make a Mimicry for every sinner, make a reason and call it a day. It's their universe after all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
as for Ryoshu, one of the central climaxes of her literary basis was a burning carriage consuming the people closest to the main character, the wikipedia page for Hell Screen isn't too helpful, but the parallels are pretty obvious.
as for the corrosion thing, it shouldn't need to be pointed out that the Wonderlab depiction is "yeah this'll eventually turn you into a monster, but it's fine for a while~" obviously very similar to distorting in an instant, then reverting shortly afterwards.
As comes up in Library of Ruina in the story from Kali's page, Nothing There's central emotion is the desire to be human, to "have a human shell" which is what got to Kali since she felt like she was losing her humanity through her constant violence and killing.
edit: if it were adaptable in an "anyone can use it" kinda way it probably wouldn't have high requirements to be used in Lobcorp, which it does (level V and fortitude V)
Abandonment and loneliness is a theme 4th Match was associated with in LoR, and I never said it's only about that. Even if we touch on theme of nihilism, with 4th Match representing the wish to burn all around oneself to ashes, why is Rodion resonant to it then? Just as a remindant: there is already a manifestation of her trauma and is an ice Abnormality. And yes, I did imply Yi Sang and Ryoshu fit that nihilistic side, though it's always nice to know more about the sources.
You also proved my previous statement: any agent could technically equip E.G.O. as long as they're not in critical physical/mental state, since corrosion is not explicitly instanteneous. And yes, it is simillar to the instanctes in Limbus. Wonderlab, LoR and this game all shed details on the same process and how it works.
as for Ryoshu, the burning carriage was climax of the themes of devotion to ones work destroying their life (since the main character loses their daughter in the blaze), and the fact that it was done to seek inspiration is a parallel to the Girl seeking comfort and happiness in the flames of her matches.
Rodion actually has characterisation in game so I don't need to look into literary basis, but the basis of the backstory revelations in chapter 2 come down to "a momentary happiness leading to a profound loss" which mirrors the joy found in the flames before the girl's death in the snow.
You know, that one made me think. First, I'm taking back the argument about 4th Match.
Second: the desire by itself is formless. As such, it can be interpreted as many things, and with a stretch - as any thing. Perhaps the best example of it would be the monkey paw. In that sense it could be said that E.G.O. twists user's own desires until they correlate with those of the respective Abnormality. One could say it's...
A twsted thought
or
A distorted dream
sure they can wear it, but it is actively corroding them within minutes, it's not instant become monster like in Limbus but it very much is a threat the becomes relevant quickly.
