Did they remove the sixth nugget support thing?

Today I wanted to do a bunch of dailies, and to quicken this up I chose a support unit from my friends list (without selecting it as one of the basic five nuggets). Earlier the unit showed up as a sixth nugget, even if they weren't selected in the menu. Now only the five selected nuggets were present on the board, no support. Anyone?

Yes they removed it because it was a bug.

What does the support unit provide now then, anyone know? I suppose its only giving the support passive or something.

It can provide a support passive, but the intention is just to let you use a friend's Sinner when they have an Identity/EGO you don't.

It was kinda OP and let you clear stuff way below level.
I'm glad I got EX on 3-17 and 3-18 before they took it out though. Because I still can't seem to do it with 5 people. They're no longer hard per se, the enemies are just ridiculously tanky and it literally just takes time to kill them.
