It's a gacha, not a game game. At least, that's my logic. I don't play gachas for their amazing immersive gameplay. They give me something to do while i'm on the toilet. If I want to actually play a game, i'd ... buy a regular game.
Not hating on gachas btw, i'm aware some of them are quite elaborate. But I usually dip out at that point as well because my reasoning for playing them is different.
WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT!
WAIT!
You're complaining that the game you played for free has too much gameplay?
Can you also stop being an asshat and try to understand what i'm trying to say here? In general, gachas are incredibly repetitive. It's fun at first, but eventually drags on. So yes, I am complaining when i'm generally made to do mediocre boring tasks every single day for a handful of rewards + the usual constant grinding that gachas require. If you seriously manual all of that, i'd call out out to be a liar.
Not saying that's the case with this game, i'm merely explaining why an auto function exists. But I don't think you're interested in a genuine conversation, considering your reply.
Gacha games are usually intended to keep you playin' until you're set for autofarming and waiting for the next events and characters. Dregora is right, auto play should either be a thing or it shouldn't require daily grinding. Arknights is the least auto game and it still allows auto-combat based on what you did before (meaning you need to be powerful enough to clear it repeatedly).
Not to mention a gacha is only free because that's the most likely profitable model for earning money from players afterwards. Don't argue it's free and we can quit whenever when it's only free to earn more money. We can, but we want it to be a better *gacha* by arguing for auto.
Expecting Auto-Battle is kinda weird, truth be told. This is a Project Moon game, and they're not really known for skimping out on gameplay. Or difficulty for that matter.
There's a very good reason the prior entry in the franchise (Library of Ruina) birthed:
The difficulty spike is vertical.
Honestly, I do admit they love dragging things out, especially endgame.
Library of Ruina's Point of No Return into True End was like, 20 boss fights one after the other.
Less grind, sure. Autobattle? No.
I actually want to play this videogame.
Right, forgot. This game does have autobattle, unlocked once you EX clear a stage.
How does auto battle stop you from playing the game? It doesn't. I'm all for having to manual difficult battles, I don't mind that one bit. I'm talking about all the battles that require less than 1% of your brainpower, especially if there's some type of farm included.
But I was talking about gachas as a whole, considering 99% of them have a ton of boring non exciting grind to them in regards to materials, levels or whatever, so yes, expecting auto is 100% not weird, there's a reason the majority of gachas do it, especially the ones with a ton of boring mind numbing tasks to do.
