Could you try pressing the F key a couple of times? It shouldn't be enabled but there is a developer tool for speeding up the game.

Sorry to hear - I can confirm the developer tool isn't enabled in the current live build so it must be something else. Have you played with the VSync settings in graphics?

I think I am experiencing the same issue. I played the demo and compared to that, something about the full game is feeling "off". I believe my game is also running at faster than intended speed. Turned Vsync off and on but that did not seem to help.

Hi Oka_Nieba, and @Shibs, thank you for reporting. I'm still puzzled by that one – especially if the demo was fine.

• Is there a way you could record a quick video so I can check?
• Would you mind sharing your PC specs?
• Could you test on a different monitor if you have the option?
• Or change the monitor refresh rate?

I played a few hours already and I felt something was off too, the animations feel odd and the voice over seems to be made by AI with a robotic timbre.
Even though, I really like the game and decided to send the trailer to some of my friends who might enjoy it too.

When looking at the trailer I realized that my game is running faster as well.
Same as described by the other users in this thread.
I was shocked to discover the voice over actually sounds so good.

I am sure many people played through the game just thinking it's how it is...

Hope you can find the cause of this.

Hi Dysphory, thanks for your message.

Would you be able to watch a few seconds of else's walkthrough and tell me if your version is indeed faster?

Here's an example. It's playing at the correct speed:

I confirm my version is faster than what can be seen on this video.

In the mean time I played the game on a laptop I have access to and the game run at the normal speed...

Thanks for confirming Dysphory. I assume it's to do with monitor refresh rates but I'm having trouble locating the issue. I will add the option to select your framerate in the graphics menu in the next update.

Okay, this one was driving me a bit crazy. I think I may have found a fix:

Most modern NVIDIA and AMD GPUs have a control panel. Be sure VERTICAL SYNC is enabled in the GPU’s control panel / settings. This usually syncs the game’s framerate with your desktop’s refresh rate.

In the meantime, I will do more tests to see if it can be fixed in the game.

~Playing on a new steam deck, all default settings. the voice of the main character in the youtube clip is way lower.. Any tips? Tried googling for vsync help to no avail...~

EDIT: Scratch that, It's totally fine - it was just the background music + the bad speakers in the Deck. With headphones it's normal :-)

Phew - thanks for the update. I still haven't managed to work out why it would happen otherwise!
