No, it doesn't. And that's why I haven't bought it. I know they've said it's coming, but I think they said the same thing for MK11, and when they did release it, it wasn't full crossplay. It was some half-baked thing. So I'm waiting. And it better be soon too or I don't see a point.

It's a lil moar complex to develop a crossplay feature between consoles AND PC than just between consoles. And considering that PC base player is lower than consoles, then maybe it's not that "profitable" to develop it.

Cross-play doesn't matter, it's useless numbers. Most hardcore PC players will be the same rank quickly that's why they never complain about match-making times even years down the line.

You're right, maybe it's not that profitable. But it is a common courtesy. Everyone knows when a PC's fighting game community dies, it's deader than year-old dogsh*t. So if you keep selling PC ports to people while knowing that, you're knowingly selling them near-future dogsh*t.

EA with their sports titles do the same thing.

Eh, matters to me, not necessarily to fight randoms but I'd enjoy being able to play with some buddies across systems. There's no reason for any online multi-platform title at this point to not have cross-play.

This PC needs cross-play argument is total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. There are 500k playing CS on Steam right now, 250k in Dota, 200k in Baldurs, 100k in Starfield, 100k in Apex, 55k in PUBG, 30K in Dayz

The problem is the genre. Fighting games will never be popular. They're plenty of players to keep the genre from dying.

There are plenty of more friends you can make.

Well we know that in most cases, what matters is the stuff being profitable.

And people knows that the game is bought "as is". But sometimes, there're some "courtesies". I remember that MKX got rollback netcode a year (or maybe moar) later after its release.

I told you more friends are out there and cross-play isn't needed. So again you "CAN do both". Crossplay has been disease since it started and I blame Epic games all the way and it stupid Fortnite ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

You're correct, no reason but laziness to launch a fighting game in 2023 without crossplay.

We are in 2023 and PC is now a big part of the market. Also when a fighting game does have crossplay like SF6 or GGST then pro players and a huge amount of casual prefers playing the game on PC rather than console. And if ever the PC playerbase start to drops then console are still there to compensate.
