It was on mk11 as well, I believe frost was the unlockable character, if you were in hurry you could simply buy the early unlock or... just play the game.
Same goes here, kameos and havik are unlocked by simply playing, if for some reason you want to throw money out the window you can.
In the dlc page literally says: "this can be unlocked for free".
Well, the ones you need to unlock aren't that great anyways. Seems like most people just go with Jax because they can then stunlock you into the same combo over and over again.
You are calling pay to win something that's available for everyone and takes zero effort to be obtained, most people like to unlock stuff while playing... you may find it incredible but that's how it is.
Let me spell it simple: those early unlock dlcs are there for people that have more money than common sense... just ignore them.
Just do Survival in Invasion, one of the easy ones. Have your character continually join it again after they're strong enough to not die. Easy. I used a turbo controller that just pressed X over and over. You should be able to use any automation tool you like to press Enter over and over if you don't have a turbo controller.
Every fighting game always has locked content which you unlock by playing the game. Go play the game instead of whining here like a little child.
