But it removes a lot of other things as well. I'm not having any issues with blurriness, but I'm running the game at 5K with DLAA.
The blurriness can be fixed without messing with sg.PostProcessQuality. That is a horrible way to manipulate post processing settings.
Sorry. I selected the wrong file path:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\MK12\Saved\Steam\Config\WindowsNoEditor
Updated the Original post with the correct game folder. Apologies.
Wow so the leaks were right. This game actually started off as MK12.
It's better to be granular with settings. That way people with different strokes can add or remove what they like or don't like. A catch-all isn't the answer because sg.PostProcessQuality affects the following:
r.BlurGBuffer
r.AmbientOcclusionLevels
r.AmbientOcclusionRadiusScale
r.DepthOfFieldQuality
r.RenderTargetPoolMin
r.LensFlareQuality
r.SceneColorFringeQuality
r.EyeAdaptationQuality
r.BloomQuality
r.FastBlurThreshold
r.Upscale.Quality
r.Tonemapper.GrainQuantization
Makes a big difference with this removing the film grain, image is sooo much clearer now. Thanks for this.
Only thing that has any affect right now is going to :
NVIDIA Control Panel
Manage 3D Settings
Select Mortal Kombat 1 (mk12.exe) under "Select a program to customize:"
Max Frame Rate = 60FPS
Make sure "Power management mode" is set to "Prefer maximum performance"
Vertical sync I have set as on without issues. Some people say to disable it.
If you still have trouble you could try disabling your efficiency cores if you have an Intel CPU that utilizes them. You can disable this in the BIOS.
They are trying to fix their frame time and stuttering issues. That right now is the work around.
Yeah... Not sure why this isn't built into the game. It isn't that difficult to add as a toggle in the menu.
QLOC used to be an A-rated porter before they started taking in so much AAA work. I don't know whether it's because they are spread too thin, or have lost crucial talent over the years.
