you only see the "final product" years after release, comparing it on release vs the previous after all the post launch content and updates doesn't work
Qlocs answer: We need to make 100 years more of the same mistake to learn from it.
False. Mk11 had the same exact problems ad day 1.
Things get patched and people forget about the problems, believing that the game was always perfect therefore what came before it's always better.
MK11 wasn't perfect when it first came out, and I even have a negative review about the game. but it was much better in many aspects compared to MK1. This game gives the feeling of a quick cash grab with ready-made assets in order not to waste this year.
I find the cameo system completely unnecessary and empty, they forced something that no one asked. I would prefer the fighters there to be on the main roster.
Even character modeling seems like a complete diversity imposition.
Hmm yeah theres no white people anymore wasnt Shao Khan a conan barbarian way back in the original trilogy, well now hes a white dragonman at least but thats not even human to be honest.
As a fan of the series who started with MK3 on 8bit Dandy, I agree that the latest game is very inferior to the previous series.
- Less level interactivity - objects cannot be used in levels.
- Absolutely useless character cameo system. Previously, heroes fought 1v1 and it was great. Now the developers have cheated on the animations of the main characters and simply added template cameos for the x-ray and throws animations. I believe that MK is 1v1 fights.
- There are much fewer animations. There is no character customization like in the previous part - where you could choose different techniques.
- The character editor itself is dull, it has become much worse than the last part, although they could have updated it to the game Injustice 2.
- At the start there is only one fatality, there is no preview of abilities and fatalities.
