Lazy fatalities
Compared to MK 11 these are pretty lackluster

There is some really good fatalities there, like the second baraka fatality, and the reptile one, and other more, but you are kinda right, mostly of those fatalities are just decapitation.

Lol love how Ed Boon swears in the interviews that MK1 is the best series with fatalities and the only one that got people talking was the one with the black hole trick.

My main is Mileena, but her fatality isn't really impressive. I'm trying to unlock her other fatality and just use that one instead.

just eating the top of the head then the brain and rest of the head till the jaw, is not so impressive.

I could wish for a more unique fatality.

u can use her other fatality without unlocking it u just need to look up the movements for it

I actually think this is a big improvement. Not every Fatality ends in an explosion and it is not a complete overkill either, It seems its just a very brutal Way of finishing your enemy, rather than finishing them and destroying their already dead body after that like in MK11

I honestly really like them so far. The blood is pretty releastic and isn't overkill. Some people may like overkill fatalities but I seriously find them extremely boring. Bodies exploding with a few organs flying around is quite boring to me. Like Liu Kang's fatalities in mk11 I seriously disliked them.

As the game clearly rushed, you can see that the ideas are great and some executed but after a point you can feel that:

Ed: How are the fatality and brutalities going?
Animator: They are very good, I finished few of them and got great ideas for the others.
Ed: We will release in 2 months.. Make the unfinished brutalities just cut the limbs, head whatever and go on..

This is exactly what happened to Reptile. 2 perfect brutalities and you hype for more and you get just cutting things with limbs and heads flying in the air.

There are a ton of fatalities/brutalities and kameo fatalities that need to be unlocked too.

Man, kameos got 1 fatality and others got 2, so there is only 1 fatality to unlock per playable characters. Kameos got only 1 brutality too.

Sektor's is the only one I like -- it's fast, straight to the point, and "old school" as such. It's the kind of finisher I'd be willing to use online, and would nor be too irked to have to endure being done on me. The others I've seen are all overshadowed by the Brutalities, which tells me that they're too long and pointless after being seen. I've said for a long time that Fatalities should evolve into Brutalities, and that the "dazed finishers" should be all stage specific, as well as non-lethal enders (Friendships, Humiliations, Hara Kiris etc.).

The current, date model of Fatalities would only be tolerable if they were interactable in some way... Say, like those "Kreate-a-Fatalities" from one of the console games. Even if they looked less polished and more generic (a given), they would still have more purpose for existing than the current ones do. This dated Fatality system has no purpose beyond pre-release promotional footage and compilation uploads. The moves are no longer secrets (they even have insulting "Ezy input" variants); are beginning to stretch credulity, in terms of designs (no mean feat in an MK universe); are just slower, more boring version of Brutalities; and most people do not even use them online or in competitive settings... What is the point of wasting the thousands of hours of programming time, research, PTSD for those working on such gore and violence, if most never use the moves after seeing them a single time? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
