(Help) MK1 Early Access not launching and or crashing

[Kritikal Error]

I purchased the premium edition of MK1 with 1 week early access, others are able to play, meanwhile mine constantly crashes, or simply does nothing after the MK1 logo before the game actually opens.

I've tried reinstalling, turning off steam input, turning off steam overlay, verifying game files, turning off antivirus, turning off any game recording/capturing software, installed newest NVIDIA drivers, restarting pc, restarting steam, running in admin, updating directx, shoot I've even tried waiting 30 minutes after the box logo, because sometimes the EXE doesn't crash, but still nothing.

This is not acceptable for $110...

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and please, DO NOT REPLY TO THE THREAD SAYING SAME, I'm looking for help, not mutuals.

specs: Windows 11, NVIDIA RTX 3070 DUAL OC, Intel I9-10900kf

In short, nothing works, have to wait for the devs to send out a patch.

As for others that can't even get past the first splash box for MK1, I'm afraid we have to wait. In the mean time UPVOTE this support ticket on their website ( https://mortalkombat1.bugs.wbgames.com/bug/MK1-91 ) to help us lessen the wait.

Truly unacceptable behavior from NetherRealm Studios, $110 bucks for week early access and I've already missed out on 2 days worth of gameplay.

EDIT 2:
Downgraded to windows 10, game works now. It's possible there was an app causing the issue that was on my c drive, but either way, this is what fixed it for me.

Guys, try this, this works for me:
Install older version of GPU drivers (I installed AMD software pro edition since I have RX580 GPU, you could try some Nvidia drivers for Nvidia GPU)
Then go clear the cache on steam
After that launch the game
It will start the game and it will begin with pre-loading shaders, DO NOT LET IT LOAD THE SHADERS! Press ESC when the game starts with loading the shaders to stop the loading.
Only in this way the game works for me.

I had the same problem as everyone. Went directly to nvidia site and downloaded latest driver for my 4090. Apparently nvidia just released a driver specifically for MK1. After installation was done it didn’t even prompt me to restart the pc. Just ran mk1 game and it played fine.

I'm already on windows 10... closing every app in task manager also doesn't do anything. What the ♥♥♥♥ is this ♥♥♥♥, my specs are well above what's recommended... refund it is.

Downloaded this but no such luck. I got a 1050 TI though.

I was having the same issue and all I did was delete the game and let it download again. It fixed the issue for me, hopefully this helps someone.

Can someone please send the usersettings.ini file information similar to how the gameusersettings.ini was sent? Thats if it even exists. In Mk11 turning off RGBperipherals and RGBkeylighting fixed my not launching problem however I can’t find it in my Mk12 folder.

I think u can add these anywhere. anyway i would suggest you to try below this: [/script/engine.gameusersettings]

and try disable the Game Integrations on CORSAIR ICUE OR AND LOGITECH GHUB , or any other app u have that make game rgb integrations.

HOLY i think deleting razer synapse made it work. i used to have a razer but don't anymore. thanks for reminding me abt external RGB, can't believe i didn't think of that. spent the last 24 hours trying to find ways to fix it ty again

If you have a USB controller and some USB controller application installed, delete that application and unplug the controller when you start the game. Plug in after you enter the game. I couldn't start the game, but it works for me now after I did what I mentioned.

Sorry to necro this thread, but I just bought the game and am also encountering this issue, nothing past the 1 second splash screen png. Does anyone have a fix besides updating drivers and deleting rgb controllers? I've already done those. Changing the ini.'s doesn't work either. Please help!
