WHY IS THERE A FPS CAP?? ITS 2023.. its time for a Change.
i don't understand the reason for an FPS CAP on PC its 2023 consoles can do 120fps this game doesn't seem that graphically demanding. i understand that fighting games have been like this forever but there's no good reason i can find on the internet to why its still like this it makes no sense.

People say "Fighting games are locked at 60fps because player movement and attacks are tied to the frame-rate/tick-rate. When you press a button, the game takes a small amount of time to process it and activate it in a specific frame." ok but why tho? What? every game is tied to a frame-rate in a way... that's not a real reason....

I and many others want super smooth gameplay with graphics maxed out UNCAPPED FPS or a higher locked frame-rate and they could separate the 2 types of players for example 60fps players with 60fps and 120fps players with 120fps.
like bruh people advocating and supporting this low quality standard when its time to innovate evolve and do new things i don't understand this mindset of accepting this crap.
I want to play fighting games but this is pathetic and to anyone who wants this i will never understand your mindset. im very frustrated with people not caring about a better experience for all.

This game is not at all graphically demanding i guarantee this game can run at 120fps or higher on all platforms even last gen consoles with an exception of lowering graphics or dynamically lowering resolution (FSR/DLSS) for a higher fps in curtain scenarios except the switch maybe.
its sad to see people accept this low-grade standard for many games not just this one i know my reason has validation and i hope someone important sees this.

i hope you guys understand my frustration with this topic. im a tech nerd who loves to see optimization and a True finished polished product. i know these companies are capable of more then what they say online. they want money but they should know good games make real money and truly expand the community that can produce a large income for years.

No problem at all with 60 fps in a FG but I wish the fatalities, X-rays, etc were 60 as well.

From what I remember the Killer Instinct reboot supposedly ran at 90 FPS, but if true that game was always seen as the exception to the rule.

Either way, blame consoles for focusing more on shiny, RAM-eating graphics instead of optimizing for higher framerates. Fighting games on consoles could probably and easily have gone past 60 FPS in the last 5 or so years (like having at least 100-120 as a standard instead), but instead they want console games to look even remotely as good as a PC games would, so everyone loses.

Wow, you obviously have zero knowledge of fighting games :D The FPS needs to be the same with everyone because of the frame data. Why am I even explaining this lol

Let's say 1k people (after hype) will play this game. 5% of them will playwith 120 fps.
That's 50 guys. So now, you wanna play some multiplayer, but 20 guys are offline, another 20 are from other side of the Earth (bad ping)... that leaves you with 10 people, out of which 7 are uber hardcore no-lifes that will perfect you on every fight..... mmmmmm, perfect gaming, very entertaining.

Im pretty sure if they enabled it alot of people would try it out and would love it. 50 guys? Really?? Thats assuming everyone has bad internet and nobody is immune to lag or ping people with bad internet will experience the same thing for 60fps so that argument doesn't make sense.

This is the first post long forum post i made on steam the bigger this post gets the better the chance the developers will take a glance at it i hope they do and see my concerns as well as many others. As a fan of moral kombat im Speaking for the people who get thrown to the side by this fanbase who think things can't change its sad to see people dont understand and take it as a joke. And i know alot of people are thinking it to but most people don't have the voice to comment about it or don't even look at steam forums neither did i until i decided to see why it is the way it is and from what i see fighting games don't need to be this way.
