While i agree with you as I like the game too, they did it to themselves.

Nowadays gamers have ZERO patience for BS.

Yea you are right i feel like the biggest issues overall are super scummy or weird choices like not being able to use any of the character roster as kameos even tho its shown in story mode and then theres the micro transactions in a fully priced game but besides from them i think the only issue with the game is that the combat is just not as fast paced as the older mk games

Let's be real, majority of MK fans dislike the new kameo system. That alone is the main reason people don't like this game.

Not only MK1, also Sparking Zero and the new naruto game. it feels like companies do not care about feedback anymore these days..

Some people OVERHATE it for sure but there is still a lot of real criticisms. Kameos are very hit or miss depending on the person, game was clearly rushed out and still feels incomplete(I mean there is not even palette/gear loadouts available like in MK11), in my opinion the KR expansion was a HUGE letdown, the first MK game I feel like I overpaid for the game and dlc, barely over a year into the game overmonetized and live service'd like crazy...and they already recycling content, etc.

And if I'm honest the meta is ...not my favorite. I find it harder and harder to come back every season even with new characters I was excited for. I don't play the meta but seeing it almost every game gets tiring.

A petty complaint I have is how the same handful of characters get ALL of the premium outfits it seems while most characters got one or none. Though with no loadouts that could be a good thing. lol

Sparking Zero was NEVER going to be a comp game to be taken seriously unless you wanted disappointment. lol Anyone who played the old school Tenkaichi games or the Xenoverse pvp games saw that coming a mile away. Giant rosters and 3d arena fighting game are almost never balanced in the slightest and come with a lot of cheese.

I wasn't talking from the competitive perspective. I was talking from the casual perspective.
Regardless the game is competitive or not, it should maintain an acceptable playerbase and positive feedback.
I mean look at MK1 it's supposed to be competitive but it is failing from both the casual and competitive sides.
And as for the cheese, MK1 has enough cheese with the infinites and exploits

It is overhated indeed.
There are a lot of real issues with the game but it really isn't as awful as some people make it seem to be.

Does it have that?, i never use 'em, they added that feature so they can add many DLC characters without the complexity of an usable character, in other words it sucks, but i really like the game thought.

I agree. I've enjoyed MK1 thus far. The micro transactions are indeed frustrating. I must also acknowledge the amount of free content that was given as well, even if it's small. We have received palettes, skins and stages. Other games lack giving anything away for free.

I still sit down with family and friends in the entertainment room and play. We always have a great time.

Yeah I agree

I think the issue is less the problems with the game and more NRS' care free attitude to fixing the problems. There seems to ne a vibe of passive arrogance with NRS that has turned people away.

And the game now is way different than it was for a long time which NRS was very slow to improve to current level. Too little too late.

imo MK1 is easy the best NRS era MK game, with MK9 a close second. MK11 being the worst by far
