What platform is MK1 most played?

I was thinking on buying MK1 since it's on sale, but I ain't gonna buy a PS5 just to get MK1, especially when you need PS Plus when on PS5 in the first place. And the game doesn't have crossplay AFAIK. Is the game any populated on Steam?

When I was looking at gameplay in online multiplayer, I saw thatb both players were on the same platform. Meaning Steam players only played against other Steam players, PS5 users only face PS5 users, ect.
