I understand what they were going for, but I hate how every male character looks like a regular 20 years old person. They all look too young and their clothes look too normal, except for guest characters. I don't mind plain and young looking character designs, but it's not what I want from Mortal Kombat.
Most female characters look the same to me. No improvement, no downgrade.
That and cameo characters look like cosplayers instead of actual characters. Again, I get what they were going for, but it feels like they haven't accounted for the fact that character designs from 1990 do not necessarily look good at high resolutions outside of cosplaying conventions.
I don't know. I will play it. I love the fight aspect more than I did in MK11. it feels a bit slowed down which was vastly needed. There is a room to learning characters and their moves, it will probably be boring to master them all, but for now I'm playing the story.
the base game is worth purchasing, but if you can wait, till it's like for nothing, than wait. I purchased it from a retail seller online for around €31 for a base game. I won't pay passes until they are long out and discounted.
Just throw a helmet on him that he has similar look of his old self.
Though I personally think all the characters look way better then they were for a long time.
Hell I personally think Kenshi looks badasss in this game. Compare to all the other old versions of him.
Problem is that alot of people that follow games just don't like change of what there use too.
Are there characters on this game I feel look better? Sure... Ok Im not sure what they were thinking with Tanya or Shang Tsung or jax and Sonya just seems odd? Though I feel Shang Tsung just as I thought Jax and Sonya just look better in MK11. But I can see why they changed things up. The characters in the game suppose to be from what I see to be in there mid 20s. So ya of course they don't look old like in there 40s and 50s and so on.
Though this just my opinion. I was showing a friend in town of MK1. And he has a different opinion.
But hey thats fine. To agree to disagree.
This guy lol. Not everyone goes based on tubers review of a game. I have my own view on what I thought of the game. And I sure don't need someone on tuber to make up my mind of what I thought of a game.
Though sure we can say a lot of the characters look from MK3 that I can agree with. Just felt a bit more could have been put into the models of the characters.
The game suffers from the developers wanting you to engage whit the cosmetics and i assume even buy some so they made the base models for the characters bland to encourage cosmetics. Most game developers do this but i think MK1 went to far ahead in this regard. As half the cast looks like generic Martial Artists.
Meanwhile in MK1 a lot of the base models for characters still look amazing.
Most fighters make sure the base models for its cast are still appealing
