Question to fight stick users about the block button
I just purchased my first fight stick. Nothing fancy, a Nacon Daija.

I am curious as to what other people who use a fight stick for MK do about the block button.

Do you leave it as is (R2 or Right Trigger) and use the rightmost fingers of your right hand to use it (block); or do you shift the entire configuration one row over, and use the "A" as a block button (X for PS users) with thumb and pointer finger of your right hand?

So far, I seem to prefer shifting all the buttons and using A for block, although I am experimenting with other layouts.
Kind of wish steam allowed polls to see what most people's preference is.

At least Tekken doesn't have this "problem".

I play on a hitbox and play with the stock controller layout.

I DO use my right thumb for now, and one finger each for FP BP FK BK. It seems the most natural (even though Block was in the middle on old arcade cabinets).

This wont be of any help to you and most people moved to controller for this game, but I actually use a template that mods my stick to the traditional MK arcade layout, some time ago madcats used to sell these replacement plates, for mk 1 change the config a bit.

HP----HK
---BLK---
LP-----LK
Kameo button is at thumb position it's a little more ergonic than the old MK cabs.

With this I can do everything in the game, using the multi button shortcuts option on.
Could see it being pretty awkward on a traditional layout stick which I guess is why amost everyone plays pad for mk now.

Very nice, I thought about trying this layout too. I will try it when I get home.
