If MK1 is like MK11 the rotation time is about 1.5 years. So those DA skins (Li Mei, Scorpion, Subzero) will appear again around 2025.

For example the good Mk11 klassic Skarlet skins appeared in 2019 then 2021 again.

I exhausted the free crystal sources way back in season 1 itself. Unless you are very selective in what you want to buy, that stash wont last very long.

Name one single well known popular game that doesn't have some sort of method for you to buy cosmetics/etc for real money. Of course but the vast majority of people who have been using those crystals gained from mastery have already spent them on other things by now, considering it's the end of season 3. And while there's other ways of getting some more for free, it's not gonna be more than 1 transaction if you manage to get enough.

Meaning no more free premium stuff unless you're saving up for something specific (which is what I'm doing, although I highly regret buying the Omni-Man announcer lmao). That seems to be the situation we're in now since people appear to be complaining about it a lot more as time goes on,

Nonetheless - WB isn't forcing anyone to buy anything even though people seem to be acting as if that's case. If you see something in the store that you want but don't want to pay for - then don't buy it! It's quite simple.

As much as it sucks, you can't really blame WB/NetherRealm considering that every single popular game I can think of nowadays has a "premium store" where you buy cosmetics with real money - just like MK11, in case anyone forgot that this isn't the first premium store. Like Apex legends, like CSGO/CS2, like Rocket League, like ANY nearly ANY game that is anywhere close to being considered a AAA title essentially.
