MK1 online has a HUGE problem

I have had to use a VPN to play Kombat League ever since this game has been launched because I cant find a match otherwise since I live in the middle of nowhere. Convinced Kombat League is region locked. I can play every other game online on my PC just fine like Fortnite, COD, etc. Also when your reset my firewall settings to default and get the notification of MK1 to allow access in game. I can find a match right away. After the very first match, I can't find a match until I turn the VPN on. Also I have great internet 900 download 67 upload and using a gtx 3080, 128gb ram, i9, so its definitely not on my end. Please Fix Kombat League. Also general note at the time of writing this post, people shouldn't be able to decline a match if you are both wired on ethernet with like 135 ping or lower with 60 fps. Doesn't make any sense

Majority of people will not play unless its a wired connection with less than 100 ping.

The fact that you are playing through VPN is only going to additional latency and internet traffic routing for the packets. Its a shame that you dont have any servers in your region but unfortunately youre not going to get many people to play with a high ping.

Kombat League isn't region locked or I wouldnt face so many ????????? Russians with VPN because MK is banned in Russia which gives me a very bad online experience because I am from Germany so why the fk is it even possible to play versus Russia VPN sitting 3000-5000km away for me...yeye VPN to annoy people in countries where MK isnt banned.
Additionally everybody should be able to decline a match above 100ms. Its horrible to play with such high latency. And it makes a lot of sense to decline everybody below 60fps because the lag starts in game due to trash PCs not hitting 60fps.

Arent the Russians actually the biggest fans who provide the highest income for MK series? First banning the Russians, then they will buy the game anyway but will use VPN and force the lags. Logics? No logics... POLITICS!

Oh I dont care Russians generally but that is how it ends for me as a customer from EU/Germany. the connection wouldn't be better if they dont use a VPN ...they still sitting 3000-5000km away. But it is not a problem anymore because you can decline all bad benchmarks and wifi since a few days.

135 ping wired on both ends is super smooth imo. If the opponent was on wifi and it 135 ping, than ya its a definitely no go. I obviously would love a lower ping but at the same time can’t tell a huge difference from 135 ping wired to about the best I had it in a match was 50 ping wired. Not to mention it seems like I run into the same people maybe because I am a higher rank in KL idk, but currently I just take any match I can get at this point. I feel like most people would rather play in a match than to sit there for a good bit and look for the best possible connection. Maybe they should add a search feature where you can pick your preferred ping & fps. That would be amazing. Regardless the main current problem is I can’t physically play enjoy KL without a VPN, and I know I can’t be the only one. The devs definitely need to take this into consideration when pushing out krossplay in February. Idk if there is a bug that resets after you find the first match after accepting that firewall notification when you first go online in MK1 or what but my theory seems to be something with that. I tested it 3 times and each time I closed out of MK1 & reset my firewall settings to default, re-opened up the game, and accepted the allow access popup right before finding a match in KL, I found a match right away no vpn, then attempting to find a next match afterwards, literally couldn’t find a soul and gave up after like 30 plus minutes, regardless if i closed the game, backed out and reentered KL, etc.
