Controller buttons swapped with numbers
I use a controller to play MK1, but in the game, it switches the buttons with numbers. So, X=1, A=2, B=3, Y=4, LB=5, etc. This confuses me a lot, and it becomes impossible for me to execute combos. Anyone else facing the same issue? Mortal Kombat 11 and X are normal, but this one is bugged

I think you should right click your steam game in the library and go to manage then controller n put it to "Use default settings" so that way it will default to what the game has set up for your controller. and if the game has issues steam will auto do xinput.
i boot up the game with a dualsense just fine no problem, sometimes it dc's in game and i just reconnect. i use it wirelessly too with a bluetooth adapter so ye

My controller is from the 8-bit brand, and when I use it, the game buttons turn into numbers. I've tried doing what you said, but it didn't work.

I have an 8bit too. I fixed mine by going into Steam's settings --> controller menu, then turning all options off (and the drop-down for Playstation set to "not enabled").

Then turn on "Enable Steam input for Xbox controllers". That should be the only thing in the whole menu that's turned on.

At the bottom, I also clicked the box for "Xbox Extended Feature Support Driver" and let that run. If you get an error, you might need to reboot Steam and DON'T run it as admin, then try again (weird, but it worked for me).

I'm not sure which of these fixed it, but it's showing Xbox buttons now.
