For the most part NRS really don't know how to design good characters anymore but I suspect that's because most people from their midway days left and they were the true heart of Mortal Kombat.
It's like a Rorschach test. You see what you want to see. Looks like you need to do some introspection.
MKX designs were done by a bunch of try hards. Floating mummy Ermac was a joke. If not for EB and Quan chi's design, there would be more negative reviews.
I have no doubt MK1 premium costumes will beat them all eventually.
The irony will be that MK1's best characters designs will end up being the superheroes and guest characters, not actual MK combatants.
