I sure hope so.
From my personal experience of course. I don't understand why they would go through the trouble, of constantly having to patch mod support.
Even for offline use? Wow.
If the game doesn't support mods by developer will have that kind of issue, because when creating updates they won't got "hey this new code break those mods".
Hell something even games with mod support get broken mods due update.
