Yeah man, some of these people take gaming way too seriously. I had someone wish death on me and my whole family. There's a difference between talking trash and taking it too far.

I have known of instances where people have recorded video of opponents in KL hurling misogynistic and racist abuse through in game voice comms and have posted clips on Twitter and it was brought to the attention of Tyler Lansdown who acknowledged them and confirmed to take appropriate action.

While making them get salty is one aspect, being on the receiving end of vile hateful abuse without consequence is not acceptable.

Thats what a Mute Button/Feature is for. This "problem" was solved long ago. I discovered this issue long ago, and I solved it by no longer talking with People I dont know Online. Your acting like someone is walking up to you and threatening someone in Person. This Idiot making the "Threats" doesnt even know you, let alone where you live or work.

Of course Online Abuse exists, but Trash Talk in Video Games is not Online Abuse, its Stupid Idiots acting like Children. If the Mute Feature doesnt Work, then take off your Head Phones, Turn Off Chat, Turn Off the Sound, or Heaven Forbid IGNORE IT.

Its Crazy Justice Warrior like yourself that give these Children throwing Tantrums the Attention they Seek. They get on and see how Upset they make people like OP and it reinforces it because they see its works. Instead you should be helping OP learn that these kind of people have NO POWER. Their Threats are just Empty Air, they cannot and will not do anything.

The actual instances of anyone ever following throw with Online Threats is so minuscule I doubt that it can even be tracked. The only ones that do are Crazies that attack Government Officials, Celebrities, and Ex Partners. They also did these things before the Internet, so it has nothing to do with Video Games. In Fact I doubt you could find Proof of anyone ever attacking someone they didnt know after making Threats Online to some Rando they lost to in a Game.

Your not fighting some Good Fight, your pretending to be some "Defender of Justice" against Trash Talk in Video Games. This is some crazy level of Virtue Signaling that Borders on Delusions.
