Liu Kang kombos and punishers help please I feel I am missing them

Hello, so after trying multiple characters, well, I just didn't get the hang of them, but now, after a couple of days of Liu Kang I really like it and feels I found my basic groove and it's also fun, which is probably also very important, after mastering with him some basics and even the fatalities I must say that after struggling as a total beginner is very very satisfying. Now I have watched some videos of course, not asking this out of the blue, but I still feel like most don't help me achieve what I want and what I see in a lot of other players (almost everyone) which is: once they get a chance almost everybody does a full combo of about I don't know ~40% I think, and this is what I feel I miss the most and come to you for some tips and tricks on how to open up, punish and what kombos could get me the above described, you can just help me in writing or with some useful links that help you. Sometimes I struggle with "enhanced dragon's tail" and Is that essential to al his kombos?
To be honest right now I am stuck at the B2 3 B2 3 333.

P.S also if someone could tell me if I can hear the intro dialogue also in competitive mode because I haven't heard them and they seem pretty funny and entertaining.

The B23 B23 333 combo does around 30% damage. You need to dash forward after each B23 else you will drop the combo.

oh another thing what are the best openers? do I always need to open with F43?

Thats usually his best combo starter... if u use Kung Lao kameo you can do F43 into low hat or spin

Kung Lao kameo, back throw, in the middle of the animation call teleport move, that's a combo starter. Every Liu main does it so the opponent needs to pay attention for throws, otherwise he'll eat a juicy combo damage (it adds variety because Liu doesn't have mix-up starters). Baraka has similar move with Cyrax and Geras regular time freeze acts like ex with Laos teleport move.

You don't need to dash after each r B23 actually its B23 B23 Dash 333

hey guys, I have found out something very frustrating this evening that maybe you can help me with, I have only 41h on MK1, I wish so much to main Liu Kang and this evening I am so frustrated, so
1. I don't understand how am I not converting a F43 full hit, I hit them with F43 and then when I try to start the B23 B23 333 combo they just simply block it, my first hit, so I can't even start it,
and
2. what is the timing on the grab and kung lao teleport I need to hit, maybe you can tell me when in the animation I need to hit teleport because the same they just get up in time, and block.

F43 B23 does not combo by it self. You have to hit F43 EX-BF2 Dash B23

Just hit practice mode and you will get the timing down. It's around the second when Liu lets go of the opponent.

I main liu, here's some advice. F43 is a stagger/whiff punshing tool. It's great at hit confirming but it wont' combo unless you EX BF3.
General string midscreen is, F43 (usually a whiff punsish) into EXBF3, B23 (don't need to dash, you can walk lol), into 333 BF3.
Corner string is the same general idea; B23, B23, 333, EXBF3, 333, BF3.
Best corner string without kameo is: B23, 4, B23, 333, EXBF3, 333, etc (the 4 is a hard link but it's necessary for optimal corner damage, especially later with kameos.

Best buttons are F43, F434 (good mix after conditioning F43, don't use too much, easy flawless block), F14, 34 (It's high so be careful), and D4 (good poke).

Good luck; watch tourney footage for a good idea of neutral; copy what they do.

ok guys thanks to you II got the kombo off the throw learned at 9 hits 196.46% damage, now I need just to get my kombos going, I am watching for example this out of the many liu kombo videos out there

the problem is that after I hit with F43 and let's say I do get and BF3MB (I assume MB means main block? I can't connect like he does in the video with the follow up, I feel like the opponent is so far away from me from that BF3MB, any tips?

And I'm still not doing the best with the throw kombo because now I see I need to end with BF3 and I have so much trouble ending with BF3, if you know what needs to be done? I mean the input is there as you can see in the picture, I throw, then teleport, do B23 then connect like a F333 but then I miss the last BF3 to go to 220%.......

sometimes I connect it when in practice but I don't know the reason for why the last BF3 is connecting when it does, does it have anything with releasing the F (forward button) or something else...... I want to get this down to the letter then go Kasual the Kompetitive.

So I'm at the point that finally I manage to do 348.3% off b23 b23 f333 bf3 and 220.00% off the throw and Kung Lao teleport, not every time, definitely not every time, but it's ok, I broke my fingers practicing, now the question is how do I open for the combo...and what I wish to learn next is a combo than involves Cosmic Flame...

I know two ways (not sure this is correct information)

1. F43 but this will not get me anywhere if I don't follow with what an EX BF3? or another launcher?
2. F14 then a follow up with cosmic flame to launch an take it from there?
