Worth it for singleplayers?

Does MK1 have enough singleplayer content as Injustice 2 did back then?
I would consider myself pretty good at fighting games but I dont bother enough to climb in ranked, so it would be nice if someone can answer this.

The main single player modes are Story Mode & Invasions (which is a seasonal board game looking Krypt/Tower combination) where you can earn costumes and gear from that season, as well as Daily/Weekly and Season Towers (not forgetting Arcade towers if you're interested in character endings).

Invasion mode will give you the most content but I see it getting quite tedious very fast though.

Not really. You can watch the story mode on Youtube and Invasions is a complete waste of time.

SP content are def not worth 70$, story is short and invasions is a boring slog.

Just no! I've always been a SP guy and this one is the worst so far. Save your money and wait for a couple of months or 1-2 years!

i like mk1 quite a bit but its not worth it if you plan to do single player only. absolutely not.

I rather enjoy the single player aspect of Mortal Kombat 1.

Story Mode was extremely entertaining, and worth the playthrough.

Invasions Mode is immensely in depth compared to the boring options available in Mortal Kombat 11.

I play predominantly single player and have no interest in the online options of the video game, and I've already got 40+ hours alone just playing single player content.

Everyone has and is welcome to their opinons, however I heavily disagree with the majority of the above responses to your question.

I would recommend this product based solely on the single player aspects alone.

You also must keep in mind that the mass majority of folks commenting and forming discussions here are the negative community, as the vast majority of people actually enjoyin' the product aren't coming here to say how great the game is, they're simply playing the game and enjoying it.

No, the single player content is literal trash. If you’re don’t want to fight with other people online, there truly is no reason to buy this game.

This might change in Season 2 of Invasions. I doubt it, but it doesn’t seem like the mode was received well by anyone. They have to make more interesting content if they want us to play it.

You can watch the story on youtube. Its like 3 hours long, so not worth it for 70 bucks. Also, the story is pretty meh.

Thats sad and I wonder why it is that way. They could have just copy the formula of Injustice 2, as this game was incredible in terms of singleplayer content.

I say wait on a discount. The SP campaign is alright but its relatively short. The Invasion mode is like a board game with towers that can help you unlock items and rewards but it just doesn't justify the full price imo.

I keep hoping at some point Nether Realms takes more risks and makes a new Shaolin Monks like adventure game again.
