Does anyone else feel like MK11 was better
I personally enjoy MK!, but I feel like the fighting isn't as solid as MK11. I feel like this game is all about whoever does a combo first wins. Still fun, but MK11 felt more technical. Am I tripping?

I think this game mechanic wise will be better once they balance the cast out a bit.

def not for me. mk11's fighting feels plastic. mk1's more solid but still needs upgrades, updates.

MK11 technical? The d1+grab game? The Cetrion zoning sh*tfest? The game with a million wake-up options and the break-away mechanic? Nah bro you may be tripping lmao

Once you get used to the mix-ups and stuff like that, MK1's neutral is WAY better.

Nope, graphics here are night and day difference, mk11 is 1080p, mk1 is 4k resolution.

Mk11 is also unreal engine 3 , mk1 is unreal engine 4.

Im unsure but I think MK11 had a 4K resolution texture pack that you could install on both console and PC? I actually don't find MK1s graphics better than MK11 and I have both for the PC. Is it even confirmed that MK1 uses Unreal engine 4 or do they continue to reuse the "heavily modified" UE3 engine?

MK11, MKX and MK9 all had a greater focus on neutral and extremely short combos. Personally, I like that there is more room for combos here, looks cooler, but I also understand getting two touched isnt fun. Hope they balance it soon

Disregarding character balance and such from both games, I must admit that I at this given time enjoyed MK11 more. The mechanics, character designs and stage designs were IMO much better in MK11. The only new mechanic MK1 offers is Kamoes, and those feel a bit like playing UMvC3 people find the meta combo and stick with that.. Gets boring fast. But lets see where MK1 is in ½ a year.

d1+grab is still potent here....I def do it.

Cetrion zoning was easy to counter especially when you could counter pick out the gate. Here you can barely do that again Rain/Shang/Reiko/Sareena spammers.

The wake up options in this game are equally bad...Shao wake up leading to a 30+% combo is ridiculous.

I don't. Don't get me wrong I liked MK11 but the grind sucked and the kombat wasn't as fun. MK1 can still get some tune ups that would make me happier but it's a solid entry as far as game play goes for me. Gonna be back playing a new character every KL season cause that is what kept me into KL in MK11 for so long.

No, I won't come back to MK11, it's even more broken and stupid than this one, in particular:

- Breakaway is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid
- Free meters
- Krushing Blows is a noobish and stupid mechanic, especially the D2 one
- u2/u3 flawless blocks
- Poke+Command Grab
- Jumping characters and never-ending pressure
- Damage over time
- The counter-pick system is stupid and a time waster
- Fatalities are longer
- Jade

not really. it's shao khan. he's the most powerful fighter in MK. his wakeup should be the most powerful. he's not a fighter you should be able to rundown easily. he should be the most difficult to fight at close range. there are balance issues in the game but shao isn't broken. it's the other fighters like kenshi and the rest of the top 5 that are OP. just watch sonic fox. he always finds the most broken fighter in the game and mains it. he did the same in mk10-11. he profits off of the devs lack of balance tuning. it's not a criticism of him but of the balancing. i don't see any tournament winners playing shao khan. so i think your criticism of the wakeup is just you being annoyed with it and not imbalanced.

that's the worst fighting game i've ever played and the worst thing about MK is that juggling exists. they should make the game more realistic and less like super heros.
