My Thoughts on Reptile
Reptile is probably only characther that don't have a full screem special with 0 bars (not counting with Johnny, cause He can evade, and I think), and can be easily punished in every special.
The invisibility has no armor when you do that, looks like the bar just let you invisible more time(and probably won't happen because de enemy can throw a long ranged special before you end the animation.
Reptile projectiles are all medium or costing a bar Just to be blocked after slowly cross the arena (when you fight a zooner, AKA:Almost all Kitana I've fought) while in MKX He had a split that hits in long range(please, Just add this, reptile needs a counter to zooning)).

The death spin and the Aerial teleport arena easily Blocked/Punished, and the teleport is probably the only one in the game that does not go where the enemy is,

The acid Ball allows enemy to fatal blow after the Ball starts moving and sometimes it Still takes you before you Block, they should put less frames to go neutral or makes the ball moves longer.

The amplified run is fair, because it goes through Block, but is very annoing when the mf Just D1 you and you lost a bar for nothing, but it's just my personal opinion, it's fair, as it should be.

The acid split... it's Good and all, but has no range, and again, please, add a back+Front+□ long ranged split, please, There's nothing worse in this game than Just can't play well because all mfs keeps zooning you because you and fight back at distance.
He should have more than one kombo started on □ too, it's very predictable and is the only really fast option, so..., but you can let the slip kombo safe on Block too(but I think that isn't gonna be much fair).

And the end, this one is not about Reptile, that's about gravity, The Gravity allows to keep enemy on air for too long, and if you dont have 3 bars you Just loose, because some Characthers takes 60% of your Life in a kombo Just keeping you in the air(Ex:Shao+Sonya in the korner or Scorpion+Kameo that helps keeping in the air) Kombo Breaker should be 2 bars like in the games before, and the gravity shouldn't let people stay all that time in the air, two thow in a kombo is enough.

Do you like to be kameo deppendent while everyone have high or low projectiles? and do you play Reptile(looks like you don´t, I don´t know why but I think you are a Kitana player, correct me if I´m wrong)


I'm actually a Li Mei player and yes many characters are dependant on their Kameos as my choice of Kameo is critical to my playstyle. Pick scorp I get new combo options and juggles. Pick Kung/Motaro I get a much needed teleport to anti zone and an additional projectile. Pick Darius and I get many combo extending routes.

It sounds like you should just play Sindel if you want high/low projectiles so you can run away and spam projectiles. If you practice and play you can move in and under their projectiles.

I just want reptile's low string to have an overhead included in it. The animation even looks like the 2nd hit is an overhead but counts as a mid. This would at least catch some folk off caught as they'd have to block low and then stand up to block the overhead.

Big issue for me , aside that both the deathroll and teleport can easily be reacted to is that enemies can just block everything pretty safely by just holding down block since only overhead you got is a medicore one swing you can't do any combo with and a charged up one where you can at least do like a 30% combo with but it's charged, people see it coming from a mile away.

But yeah, unless Mk1 gets some seirous balancing changes, i just can't be bothered at all and moved onto other games. MK X and 11 even with balance issues it had, it didn't completely break my interest in playing em' online but MK1 is just absurdly bad atm. if you don't cave in and fall in line to become another Raiden,Baraka or Johnny main.

I agree. B31 doesnt need to be a low into overhead. What FuscusNight should've said, B31 has a gap that no one likes, and wish it was not there lol

Me.. personally, with all honesty, I want Reptiles F2 mid to be a little faster to punish more often with. When up close, I don't like punishing off his jab, but I'll take it for what its worth

I don't want to play zooning, Just want his projectiles to be like it was, it's very annoing when someone just zoons, its not Hard to jump, but try this when a Kitana is zooning you, she easily punish you, the acid split of mkx was fast and long ranged, was enought to fight zooners, I really like how kameo changes the fight, but we shouldn't be deppendant, specially because they can just spam long ranged special when whe only have 2 uses of kameo before pass a time just blocking and jumping while kameo's bar recharges

Yeah I have a lot of trouble punishing some characters.

Honeybee just made an official Reptile guide on his YouTube channel. Some good tips in there. I actually didn’t know his OH charge was cancel-able into some specials.
