Thoughts and Opinions of Negative Edge (Input on Button Release)
My first experience with this setting was on SF6. Was by default off. I found it interesting that it was by default on for MK1. I play without it on. I think my inputs are more consistent for it.

What do you folks prefer? Do you think one is better than the other?
Would like to know your thoughts. :steamhappy:

I couldn't complete some of the basic trials with negative edge on. Couldn't figure out what caused the "wrong" input and thought it was me being old and bad.

Saw the negative edge "ON" in the Settings, turned it off and immediately played a lot better. Negative edge can be a good thing, but for me it worked a lot better in games with circular inputs such as Street Fighter IV and Marvel vs Capcom 3.
I found in MK1 ithe negative edge almost assumes your inputs and the assumption was almost never correct in my case.

Idk why is release check on by default when everyone turns it off... also change the input duration from long to medium as well else u end up pulling out the wrong special move at times in a combo.

hmm yeah i tried duration short just now and its TOO short window you have to input super quick, medium should work better.
