How to activate X-Ray moves?

First mortal kombat game, still trying to break the controls to muscle memory, only thing I don't understand is how do I use the "ultimate" AKA x-ray moves? I'm guessing it's part of the bar in the bottom left? (On controller of course)

No it's not, it only becomes available after you hit 30% or lower and you use it by hitting LT and RT on controller - however most of them are extremely punishing and because of the big cutscene that plays beforehand most players just hold block for the standard FB's/Xrays. The only exception I've seen so far is Johnny and Reiko - Johnny because his FB has a fakeout and Reiko because his is a grab

Block + Stance Flip (both kicks together) while your health is critical. It will say FATAL BLOW in your health bar when it's available.
Also make sure your kameo isn't on screen when you try to use it, as it is needed in the attack.

Those can only be activated once per fight, and when your health has reached below 30%. When this happens, you will see that the words "Fatal Blow" will appear on your health bar, and you can then tap the trigger buttons on your controller simultaneously to activate it.

I press the buttons, it doesn't do anything. I'm using a switch controller but the game is supposed to have full controller support?

That's your problem the switch is the worst port of this game you need to refund your money and buy it on PC or wait and buy another console

I have it on pc I mean I'm using my switch controller cause I don't have a ps5/xbox controller

I would look online then as to some solutions maybe there's input lag or delay I'm not completely familiar with using switch controllers on PC because I would never want to use joy cons on pc

Not sure man. I never used my Switch controller.

It should be the trigger buttons at the same time, left and right.
