Seriously Reiko is broken and is meta abused
Reiko is by far the most annoying safe character in the game, ♥♥♥♥ combos this guy chips u out by constant unstoppable pokes and the back leg attack that gets canceled into any ability to start a combo is broken, its hit box is annoying, i hadnt won a match that a reiko player plays good or bad, unstoppable pokes and that annoying command grab.

Lol. Game's been out for 2 weeks and kids are already crying in the forums about characters being "broken". Reiko isn't even S tier, though I will say, his projectile is way better than it should be for an up-close grappler type character.

How am I contradicting myself? You're just crying about a character who isn't even among the top 5 in the game currently. If you're gonna make a topic complaining about "broken meta abuse character", it helps if the character you're complaining about is actually in that category. Git gud, I guess.

I don't play Reiko at all, but sure, whatever excuse you need to make up in order to hide from the fact that you're not good at the game whatsoever, I guess. :TrueDeath:

If he didn't have shurikens, you could zone him out forever. You can just crouch his shurikens, you don't have to block them. It only becomes a mid when he uses meter for them, which you should only do if you want to chip people out :)

Reiko has no safe ways to get in; he can run-cancel, or he has to slide or do the running knee. Both the knee and slide are unsafe. If you block low, he only has his overhead as an option which means he has to be extremely close or he has to jump in in which case you can up block and punish him. He has no overhead strings and only one strings that ends with a low.

Do you even understand what you're saying? Getting zoned out is the weakness that up-close grappler characters typically are designed to have, so yes, that should be the case with Reiko as well. However, his projectile is so solid that he can even be the one zoning out other characters, which is a bit absurd. Still, I wouldn't classify him as an S tier "broken" character simply because of that. Also, the fact his projectile breaks armor due to number of hits is the only thing that makes it good, so not sure why you're giving unwarranted advice to "just duck", lol.

Again, not sure why you're saying all of this to me. I'm already familiar with Reiko's gameplan and weaknesses and I know the character is very strong but not S tier or "broken". You're clearly confused.

Ah, I see. You should have quoted the crying OP in your second part, to avoid confusion.

Anyway, I disagree with your take on his shurikens. That projectile is way too good for someone designed to be a grappler. It's very quick, it breaks armor and it even breaks Sub-Zero kameo shield (which is essentially the go-to counter-zoning tool in the game). As it stands, Reiko can cover his one weakness of getting spaced out quite well and with Darius kameo, he's a very solid character indeed. Time will tell. but currently he is in a very good spot.
