Take Shao for example if you don't block his getup knee attack he spends that bar and gets 35% for punishing being aggressive. If you do block or poke on wakeup he just grabs. Johnny is the same with his 8 frame super kick. The poke saves my turn a lot of the time but most of the time I have no defense to getting bodied by 45% combo.

thank to prove my point from a other topic , shao have 0 armor option on wake up vs low spammer and will take a 35 too 50% combo for wasting meter compare other character will hit and combo low spammer for a 35% to 50% combo and meter will be useful , this just expose how this game is a balance mess for the same situation one is +50% other-50% for a total gap of 100% great balance
