Any source confirming this ? or another " trust me bro "
You can tell they rushed this game without enough testing. To play for fun is to REALLY hurt yourself in this iteration of MK and it is so painfully apparent cause all the good stuff can kill you in two combos.
I feel like they had an amazing opportunity with Kameos to make every game feel fun and unique but instead they created a ♥♥♥♥ show of OP bs.
I get that NRS tried to do something different, but as it stands now, the Kameos take the fun out of the game for me. So far, I have to say MK1 has been very disappointing gameplay-wise for me. Maybe it's the PC port, but I'll be giving it another week and then I will consider it money wasted. Enjoyed MK11 a lot more tbh.
I would love a non-Kameo mode, but I don't see them implementing it. Imagine the majority of players DON'T want the Kameos, then NRS is made to look really stupid if 85% of players would play the non-Kameo version.
All their work on the Kameo system would be wasted, I dont see them taking that risk, but I would be very curious to see how many people would play without the Kameos.
Cheap is pretty self explanatory, game is not old but we've all already seen more than our share of people spamming sareena, relying on her to do more damage than the player character or cyrax and his completely balanced, not at all retarded level of chip damage or pressure
Boring can be debatable but what isnt debatable is how bland the playable characters are. leading up to release they talked about "creativity" what they actually meant is spam. The playable characters are more 1 dimensional and have fewer paths to combos than any other mk game to date. Reducing the options of the main characters and by extension the gameplay itself in favour of spamming a bumper to call in a tag assist is not "creative" it is lazy and in my opinion boring. Let's take raiden for example, he literally rinse repeats 1 string but by spamming jax he takes over 50%, zero gameplay, zero braincells, thats "creativity" apparently, and raiden isnt even the worst offender for this
Lazy, same as above really, they have used it as an excuse to mask how little effort went into the roster, no balance whatsoever despite paying competitive players for years to "test" the game throughout its "development". MK11 with a handful of nerfs, a couple of tweaks, implementing crossplay that would be a better fighting game, a better mortal kombat game and a better video game than this, it already has objectively far better graphics and a better foundation for gameplay. It reeks of no effort, just cashing in on the franchise name, if I did not know any better I would swear EA had taken over nrs
