RPG?

I have a memory of a Mortal Kombat RPG. One where you could create your own character and travel around, "learning to fight". Along the way you can mix and match your own favor moves and finishers. I remember that while I did like it, I felt that the graphics for the game really sucked. But, it was a large game. So I put up with the crappy graphics for the RPG in the Mortal Kombat universe.

Then my console died and I never got a new one. I just sold off all my games. Eventually, I ended up with a gaming PC and looked for the PC version of that game. I couldn't remember the name of it other than Mortal Kombat.

Today I Googled "Mortal Kombat RPG" and to my surprise, I actually got a hit, several in fact. All of them were for Mortal Kombat 1.

So, I guess I have several questions here:

1) Is Mortal Kombat 1 an RPG or have RPG elements?
2) Do I remember a Mortal Kombat RPG or am I mistaken?
3) If the Mortal Kombat RPG from the past is real, was it ever released on PC?
4) If Mortal Kombat 1 is an RPG or have RPG elements to it, is it any good and how in debth is the RPG?

Was it conquest mode in Mortal Kombat Armageddon? Or perhaps the co-op game Shaolin Monks? There was also a PS1 side scrolling game called Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero. Any of these what you remembered?

I have no memory of what the game was called. You could tell me it was "Mortal Kombat: Pissing Match" and if that really was the name I would not recognize it.

I remember that you started out as a monk. You ran around the "temple" and found people to spar with. I do remember that Outworld was talked about and the villains were talked about, but I have no memory of fighting any of them. I may have not gotten far enough to fight them. With RPG's, I tend to go slow. Talk to everyone I can, and look for easter eggs and hidden things.

The graphics looked very much lie PSX graphics but I do not remember it being on a PSX. For reference, I have owned the original Nintendo, Turbo Graphics-16, Super Nintendo, PSX, PS2, and the X-Box. (My favorite was the Turbo Graphics 16. I loved the fact that the game cartridges were credit card size and you could buy a portable Turbo Graphics 16 and they used the same cartridges!)

I am sorry for not having more info. My memory is pretty bad. It might not have even been a MK game, I just remember it being one.

Sounds alot like ur talkong about konquest from deception where u start as shujinko as a monk training then get a mission to go out into the diffrent realms to find stuff kinda open world where u copy other fighters move by them teaching u

Cool, so it is called Mortal Kombat: Konquest? I will do my research.

So does Mortal Kombat 1 have RPG elements? Is it an RPG? Why did my Google search show Mortal Kombat 1 as being a RPG? I would love to be able to make my own fighter! Like I said, I have always wanted to play as Kain the vampire in the MK universe. I have other creations I would love to bring into MK if the tools are there. My Facebook feed always has these videos of MK 1 fighters, but they are DC people, or Marvel people, or even real world people. I am assuming that those videos are made by people who created their own toon in MK1.

Mortal kombat: deception is what the game is called so research mortal kombat:deception konquest mode

and sadly no theres a game called mortal kombat vs dc universe

Mk1 has a mode that has rpg elements but u cant create ur own fighter in it

The rpg element mode in mk1 is called invasions

No. It wasn't a stand alone game. It was a mode in MK Deception. There was also a mode like this in Armageddon but it was less RPG and more of an adventure mode.
