MK1 is the boringest fighting game ever

I won't buy Mortal Kombat ever again after this, except for an ultra cheap price.
I regret pre ordering this game.
And the peak players today only managed to gather 7.5k players compared to the 4 old months game called Street Fighter 6 which got 19k peak players today. 🤣

The problem with MK1 is that it isn't really designed as a casual game. The way combos currently work is punishing to casual players. So of course the majority of the player base. THe kasuals are going to drop the game steadily. But the devs dont seem to care since they already paid? They seem to only care about the pro level. I think they are too afraid to nerf any of the OP characters and combos. Which would have saved the game from bleeding dry. Becuase they dont want to anger the professional community and streamers that use those combos and glorify them online.

The game is fun imo, just don't over play it. Also try to main at least 3 characters. If you only main one or two characters then it will get boring pretty quickly.

Im a huge MK fan and enjoying this game like a mofo and that is because I use only sub in ranked. SF6 has a much larger fan base and is a juggernaut in gaming regardless of Genre so I get why they have nearly triple the players online. Im loving this so far and the incoming patch to nerf cyrax, raiden, baraka and kenshi will be music to my ears

No its not. Maybe its for you. But that would be subjective opinion. And who asked?
The first major yournament just ended. And it was super fun to watch, and the winner didnt even used a meta character. The game looks amazing and plays amazing. And they will keep adding stuff and working. So its pretty far from being the "boringest".
Go play your beloved SF if you like that so much, I can even stand the visual style they went for, the "ink splashes" make me cringe so much I cant even watch videos on youtube of that game.
Also I never played a fighting game ranked mode. And in mk1 I did for the first time after learning a new character and it feels amazing. I know what is going on all the time, I know what im supposed to do and what the opponent is trying to do. Its amazingly crafted.

why exactly do you care how many 10s of thousands of players are playing a game? i bought both games at release. SF6 is easier to play and more casual gamers enjoy it. it has almost no roster depth. i would only consider using 3 of the fighters on SF6. the others have no appeal. any kid can spam buttons on bronze league in SF6 and have fun. MK1 is a better fighting game and has a higher learning curve. it appeals to people who want more depth. it's a large improvement on MK11. i say this as someone who has high ranked fighters on SF6 and 800 games on MK1 kasual versus. MK1 is the best fighting game ever made. it just needs fighter balancing and after the DLCs are out it's gonna be amazing. i've been playing SF and MK both since the 90s. i was playing against other people on arcade machines.

i thought that at first but then when i learned what i was doing after a few days i saw that it's not hard to play MK1. it's a fine game for kasuals. if those kasuals like depth then it's better than SF6. not everyone has to be elder god rank to have fun. it's easy to do mediocre combos on Mk1. huge combos are difficult even for veterans to do reliably on balanced fighters. that's a good thing. it means the game isn't too shallow. there's always room to grow and improve as a player. some people lose badly and get salty when they start playing online and quit. it's a mistake. if those people weren't salty they'd have enough patience to improve.

SF6 is garbage too: every characters is a Splatoon sliding, Wiisy combo spammer, and you only see less than half-a-dozen characters online... I've already moved the game to an external drive.

So, the only winner out of this round of fighting games, looks to be Tekken 8.
