But now I think they look very iconic, emblematic, very retro. Honestly they smacked it clean out of the city on the presentation of this game.
sure buddy
The gameplay is much slower than MK1 and the gameplay is inferior. It looks nice though.
It does have a lot of things to do though and a larger roster. So, for $9-10 for it is a good deal, even with such a garbage story.
MK11 is dead on steam because it never got crossplay and nrs abandoned it on launch day, mk1 is dead on pc because they launched a game with zero optimisation, zero play testing, zero testing fullstop given the disgusting amount of bugs you can find alpha build indie early access games more polished and less crash prone than this, it is also missing basic features yet has had microtransactions out the gate. Notice how nobody who is shilling mk1 can give you any actual reasons to choose it, just " it new that mean me likely, shiny product take me money". People blindly worship mk1 because it is new, but the irrefutable fact is that it is not a good game, not even close to a finished game and in no possible reality worth more than £10 and that is a generous estimate
Honestly, if you want either right now I would strongly recommend getting mk11 on the microsoft store/game pass, it usually costs around $8 and it is far more active because it lets you play against people on pc and xbox
"but I've heard that in the FGC (Fighting Game Community" not sure where you heard this but that's not strictly true, mkx still has a solid playerbase and even with mk1 getting attention purely because of the shiny object effect, it still is dead, at the time of writing this it is barely in the top 10 active fighting games on steam and is losing out to 8 year old tekken 7 and has 1/3rd the number of players both right now and 24 hour peak that mk11 has
justify literally anything you said there
MK11 is too "broken" but mk1 which has more bugs than any other mk game ever released is fine?
how does mk1 have "more depth"? it has a smaller roster ( naturally, on launch) and the characters are more one dimensional than they have ever been, each character uses 1-2 bnb strings and nothing else, even with kameos there are less routes to combos and less combo potential than 9,x and even 11.
sf6 is "shallow and boring" is that why sf6 pulls on average 8 times the amount of players that mk pulls? is that why mk1 is currently being outperformed by 8 year old tekken 7 and mk11 has 3 times more concurrent players?
"one negative"? have you even played the game?
-black screen crashes are constant
-loads slowly even on gen 5 m,2( the fastest commercially available memory we currently have)
- constantly desyncs
- constant "the session is no longer available"
- less customisation than 11
- more micro transactions than 11
- invasions is the worst game mode ever created, literally less gameplay than a happy wheels level
- invasions have 10x more "modifiers" than 11, so you cant even use them as practice since every single enemy has armour
- the shrine is literally a loading screen where you are forced to watch for 30 seconds every time you want to unlock 1 rng item
- parts of the game run at 30fps, offering worse performance than psp games
- servers are down often and when they go you lose 99% of the games content
- no crossplay
- hitboxes are currently bugged regarding shao, kitana, mileena and baraka
- sindel is arguably the worst character in the game, but you will encounter her because she has an infinite that somehow nrs paying competitive level players to "test" for never found
- game has denuvo, further worsening it's already ♥♥♥♥ performance and it doesnt even work since there are already people online freely running cheat engine and trainers
"one negative" you are either lying or have never even played the game.
Opinions are fine, but literally not a single thing you have said has any truth to it whatsoever
I would recommend you that buy mk11 because is cheap, and go for the story because is awesome. Then buy Mk1 because is a better game, better graphics, more fast and more creative. And will be the game that will have updated in the next years. If you want to play some online marches, MK1 is your choice. No one played MK11 until 3 days ago because of a spike as the game is very cheap.
The meta needs to improve yes but that is because it has 1 month of life. People complaining for no parch are just complaining because his life is bad i guess. We had official competition this weekend, and when a new patch comes out before a competition, everyone is sick because the meta change and people need time to train with the meta before a competition. So MK1 was out, the metas was built, the competition was this weekend. Now we had a patch that changed the meta with the results of the first month of the game. This is how things are done. People complaining of this is just absurd.
Have you heard of SFV?
