When does Johnny Cage's Fatal Blow work?

I just tried using Johnny Cage. I tried using his fatal blow, which is supposed to be both unblockable and a parry, meaning that if he gets hit, then he hits back automatically with the fatal blow. However, just in my last match. I was playing against a sub-zero and tried out the fatal blow. It was not only blocked repeatedly, but when I was hit by his either his cameo scorpion or his sub-zero, he didn't parry it. WTF is going on???? Am I just not playing him right, or wtf happened????????

only way to make it unblockable is to hold it for 5 seconds johnny will do a dance if hes hit during the dance its a parry if hes un interrupted for atleast 5 seconds he will hit and that hit will be fully unblockable

so to put it simply johnny fatal blow is unique as u can use it in about 3 diffrent ways use it right away wich is blockable hold it and make it into a parry or keep holding it and hoping ur oponent dosent back away or jump over u making the hit unblockable

to also note projectiles he will parry if the opponent is close enough i dont think he parrys if they back away far enough and use a projectile
