However, MK1 kameos are a different thing completely and I've warmed up to the mechanic. It adds another layer of difficulty and also potential, so it's interesting. I do think MK1 would be a much different game if kameos were scrapped and find the idea that it can somehow be done quite comical. But then, one has to always consider the source and in this case, it's not much of one, so this entire notion can safely be disregarded as the rant of some salty kid who loses a lot in this game.
only way to play this game and have fun is to play versus. anyone who thinks KL is fun is using one of the broken fighters. until fighters are balanced there's no reason to play a full set against a broken fighter and pretend that it's competitive. there is no competitive mode in the game right now. those don't exist when there's no fighter balance. if you disagree then go play raiden vs raiden all day until he gets nerfed and have fun! i enjoy playing various fighters and having fun with the game. that doesn't exist in KL. the game is great fun vs because you can go to next opponent after 1 game if they use raiden or kenshi. if they que with them more than once you can start declining on that player. in KL you're stuck playing broken fighters for a full set.
The bad optimization and lack of crossplay is disappointing - I wouldn't say it destroyed the game just the confidence fans have in NRS to be honest.
I agree - KL is full of sweaty meta abusing players who really don't understand the ins and outs of MK. You can tell as soon as they can't hit you 1 time and 50% combo you or chip you with Baraka rax they really don't know what they're doing beyond the YT videos they watched. However Kasual can be just as sweaty because the people who have done their KL stint and gotten sick of it then try to go to Kasual and flex their game. Which is cool if they weren't all toxic for not being able to get past a certain rank in KL.
With the proliferation of guides and videos for FG characters you give people a lot of power without teaching them the proper ways to use it. It's like card games with net decking - a consistent arms race that only ends when one side gives up. I loved being able to play through the first week and figure out combos and abilities on my own, having the videos as a backup was great for increasing my knowledge and learning but people who just went to the S tier characters and straight to abusing pro player strats get no respect from me. In the words of f0xy "That's a 0 from me"
Also, only the terrible players try to hide behind arguments like "I'm playing a low tier character and it's unfair to go up against meta picks all the time" to try to justify their losses. Just accept that you are not very good at the game and move on. Why the need to post all of this incessant complaining in the forum?
I never said I'm hiding behind an argument, I dumpster Raiden/Jax/Rax Johnny Sento and Baraka all the time in addition to being dumpstered by those players. The difference is I have to work harder in order to overcome in the matches whereas if you had any knowledge you'd know I'm not complaining I'm agreeing and throwing my two cents in. Besides who cares if you think something is cringe? Was anyone talking specifically to you? Possibly asking for your opinion? Asking for you to occupy our time? Maybe you should do something useful with your time and troll elsewhere because you are just as cringe as the word.
