I could've caved in and just joined the 50% damage meta of Raiden or maybe Baraka or Johnny but I'd rather not , i wanna play the character i find fun or feel rights and picking a character just cause they can one touch a combo into 50% is not what i want.
But yeah every time i get in a matchup with another Raiden, or Baraka, or hell ANY fighter with Cyrax as their kameo, its just like zzzzzzz....
I still have my fingers crossed and am still holding out for the hope that they add enough content soon to bring it up to par with MK11 (in terms of content).
I am still hoping they have some secret game modes or something that will be added, but yeah no motivation at all right now..
They did it with MK:Deception (the best in terms of single player content imo), they did it to an extent with MK9 and its challenge tower, you would think they would have at least learned a bit by now.
Catering to the esports crowd (which is an extremely small percentage) should not take priority over catering to the millions of fans who love this game and buy this game for the fun factor.
Because PS2 era games did not have online features, so the devs had to justify the price tag somehow. Hence, they added lots of complimentary junk like chess kombat, race kart kombat and other such nonsense to appease kids like yourself, who needed something more than just the classic 1v1 pvp.
The millions of fans who buy the game do so because they want to play PVP online (or at least that's why the vast majority buys these games). The pro scene has nothing to do with your inane ramblings, you're just looking for stuff to complain about because you feel entitled to content that has no place in a fighting game to begin with. Give it a rest.
i completely agree. im awitching back to mkx becasue of how lackluster my motivation is to play mk1. they seem to resell the same skins in the store, there is no gamemode to unluck new skins ( a big reason i played mk11) and although the gameplay is much better.
they havent updated the game for a while seems like they care about it as much as me at this point, id rather play mkx tbf
theres stupid, and then theres this post. Tekken 8 ALONE is already destroying MK1 with what we have been shown so far. SF6 also the same. And let me ask you this obvious question...how do you think MK games sold before the invention of online pvp? you think millions were playing back in the 3d era days? No dude, its the 'real' fans, the ones who love the story, the solid character designs and development, the kombat itself that lined the pockets.
and just like most companies these days, they focus on the 2%ers over the 98%. MK1 is an ideological disaster because it is catering to the wrong crowd.
exactly why i didn't bother and disregarded his post lol. you can't argue with stupid.
This could not be more mis-directed. Tekken and SF6 combined will likely not sell better than MK1. Those games sole focus is on the lobby & waiting room cause that is what casuals are attracted to most.
The majority of the players who play MK games are online and tournament players. When I played MK11 kombat league it boosted my playtime from 100 to 1000+ hrs. Your so called "real fans" played the story once and moved on without buying another DLC.
