Need Assistance "Not Enough Disk Space" Issue 6 GB Update.
Hello fellow Mortal Kombat 1 users on Steam,

I hope this message finds you well. I am currently facing a frustrating issue with the game and I'm reaching out to the community for assistance. The problem I'm encountering is the "Not Enough Disk Space" error that keeps popping up when I attempt to update the game.

Here's some crucial information about my situation:

My game is installed on Steam.
The new update requires 6 GB of disk space.
I have more than 50 GB of free disk space available.
I've tried several solutions to resolve this issue, including:

Verifying game files through Steam.
Using command prompts on Windows to free up additional disk space.
Seeking help from online resources and forums.
Unfortunately, none of these methods have worked for me so far. I'm at a loss for what to do next, and I'm hoping that someone in this community might have encountered a similar issue or have insights into a solution.

If you have any suggestions or if you've faced and overcome this problem in the past, please share your experiences and advice with me. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated, and it might help not only me but others who encounter the same issue.

Have you tried just completely uninstalling and then reinstalling? That way the newest update should also be included?

Hello @Kripted,

Thank you for your suggestion. While reinstalling the game might be a solution, I'm concerned about potentially losing all the progress, collectibles, cosmetics, and achievements I've earned through invasion, story mode, and towers. Can you confirm if uninstalling and reinstalling the game would result in the loss of all these in-game items and progress? I'd like to explore this option, but only if there's a way to safeguard my hard-earned rewards.

Your insights on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Your progress should not get deleted. I think you’re right.

But in case it does. Look for a save file in the folders. If there is one, copy and save it just in case.

Yes, 100%!! I just uninstalled and reinstalled the game last week, now I have to do it again? Ridiculous. I have over 70gb free. They need to fix this.

This games true size after install is about 135GB.

Delete any dumps in C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\CrashDumps if you happen to be installing in C drive.
