The fatal blow problem
Fatal blow sucks and is cheap. Its okay to disagree with me, but it means you dont like to play the game.
Firsly i always hated fatal blows, whenever playing with friends we banned that from being used, cause instead of playing the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, we just watched a cinematic and there went half of your life, and we didnt even had the time to play that match yet.

Futhermore, some characters have better buttons to follow with the FB, others have a overhead, low or double hit FB or even more range on their FBs.

Despite disliking THIS FB system, i really like the idea to have a mechanic to give the possibility of a comeback, so my opinion is that it should stay the way it is, but only be allowed to use if the opponent has more than 50% hp or something like it, maybe even more, and/or cant have won the first match if its the second match.

you complain about not having time to play that match which makes no sense you cant use fatal blow until your hp dips around 25% at least meaning the match is nearly over and you can cancel it by just hitting them or at least you can for most characters i do agree it should be a one use thing so if you use it round 1 you cant use it again

But thats the point, when both players low hp, its not a comeback anymore. It should be disabled cause they should rely on their characters own strategy, not a cheap combo which you press your longest reach medium/low and FB after it. Some characters have easier to hit confirms and FBs, plus, its 35% for itself, its more than 1/3 of opponents hp wasted on watching a movie instead of playing the game.

Lets say the FB confirm will deal 40% damage, thats a full non dropping combo in the game, and whenever youre getting hit, ure building bars. You can break this 40% in the middle of it if u didnt have the break ready when it started.

And that would be one more second chance, to keep the match entertaining.
Im not saying it doesnt work the way it is right now, it works and its the way they designed it to be, im saying i find it boring and low risk high reward for a cutscene of people getting 35%'ed instead of playing and making actual button strategies.

I hate the FB system since Day 1. First it was cool having the X-Ray moves in MK9 with all the new brutality, but soon it became boring (especially when gaming with friends). Now it's just a torture to watch those sequences again and again. It slows down the whole fighting action and makes MK feel like a game for kids that want to show-off at school what brutal games they play. If at least it would be possible to deactivate it...But with FBs the MK series is dead to me.

Agreed, they couldve just removed the FB system and kept the crushing blows instead of this crap. Even if you could only activate crushing blows on low HP.

fatal blows are so easy to block, you actually have to set up a combo for a fatal, not cheap in the slightest

I mean it’s cool to look at but it’s really for noobs when they’re losing and have no other way out.

MK9 X-Rays were cool because animations were usually short, like 5 seconds long at most. Now they're usually 15 seconds long and it feels like you're watching a fatality mid-fight. I don't like them, but fatal blows are actually more fair in MK1 because the initial animation gives you time to react (unlike MK11) and they barely have any armor. You can also break if you have a bar.

I dont really see why you have to complain about FB, they deal roughly 30%.. No the focus for now should be freaking balance, having Raiden do 50% combos from any touch is broken, Baraka/cyrax is broken.. but FB, naa they aint bad.

They should at the very least speed them up. Nobody wants to watch a movie in the middle of a match. I can say I've won many matches that I should have NOT won thanks to cheap fatal blow.
